Chapter 4

ONE MONTH LATER
It has been one month since the shooting. Angel and Cassie has been released from the hospital a week after the shooting and they both have been recovering since then. Angel has been meeting up with his physical therapist every other day to help regulate his breathing since a part of his lung was taken out. Simone has been by his side everyday to help as much as she could. Simone and Alex has not talked to each other since their altercation. Even though they were furious at each other, they couldn't hide the fact that they missed each other. Today's event is a party thrown by Carlotta and her man, Randall. It's to celebrate Angel's and Cassie's release from the hospital and their recovery. This would be the first time Simone and Alex would speak let alone see each other since the fight.

STAR'S HOUSE - Sangel's bedroom

Simone woke up to the warmness that was Angel's arms. She was excited but nervous for today's party because it meant that she had to see Alex. She missed her unofficial but official sister so much, but she hated her at the same time because of what she said. She also wasn't so psyched to see Derek either cause Simone said a lot of messed up stuff as well. If she could take it back, she would, but she couldn't get the thought out of her head that none of this would've happened if Derek never caused trouble with the Bankhead Crew. It obviously wasn't Derek's fault, but she had trouble seeing that. The sounds of Angel stretching and waking up interrupted Simone's thoughts.

"Hey Monie," Angel said tiredly.

"Good morning, Angel baby," Simone said as she gave him a tender peck on his lips.

"Are you ready for the party today, babe ? It's all for you and Cassie, and you really deserve it since you've been working so hard at your recovery. Both you and Cassie do. If anyone deserves a lil break, it's you."

"Thanks babe, I wouldn't be able to do it without you. I actually am a lil excited for the party today. It's a good chance to see everybody. How about you ?"

Angel knew about the issues and tension between Simone and Alex. He wanted them to make things right because he knew how much she missed Alex. Plus, he was one of those people that hated conflict and tried to avoid as much as possible.

"I'm excited to celebrate you and Cassie. Also, I can't wait to see Miss C, Cotton and Miss Bruce. I've missed their annoying asses," Simone chuckled out.

"What about Alex and Derek ?"

Simone's smile drifted away as she said, "No comment on them. I don't wanna talk to or about them, especially Alex."

"Babe, y'all will have to talk at some point and this party is the perfect opportunity for it. Y'all need to make things right with each other."

Angel wanted to say more about their issues, but he didn't wanna irritate her anymore than she probably already was.

"I'll talk to them when I'm ready to talk. Enough about them, baby. We should use this as an opportunity to de-stress, relax and take our minds off of things and I got some ideas on how we can start early," Simone said as she got on top of him.

Angel, picking up what she was putting down, said, "Oh really ? What do you suggest ?"

The sexual tension between the two was through the roof. With Angel making his recovery and their focus being on that, they haven't had sex in a month, and for them, that was a long time. Plus, his physical therapist and doctors advised them not to until his breathing could get more regulated. His doctor just recently said that they can have sex, just as long as they take it slow, but they wanted to wait until it was the right time, especially Simone since she was concerned about Angel and his breathing. But, they couldn't resist each other and have been wanting to jump at each other's bones so they just had to at least do a lil something something 👀😏
