Back Story Pt. 1

"Mama!" Yelled a very little Naruto. Only 3 years old holding his arms out.

"Oh sweetie I want to pick you up but I'm just so tired." She said rubbing her stomach and taking a seat. She was about 7 months pregnant With her second boy. Minato picked up Naruto instead and kissed his cheek.

"Daddy. I need to go potty." He was just learning how to use the toilet.

"Oh okay let's go quick." Minato was a very good father. He worked as often as he could to support the family but always made sure his wife's needs were met.

"Thank you honey." Kushina said smiling at her husband. As the years went on and the boys got older there family became stronger. Both boys were complete mamas boys always fighting over time with her.

"Mom I hurt my knee because Naruto pushed me down." Cried a 10 year old Konohamaru.

"I did not! Mom he's lying!" Said Naruto crossing his arms.

"Yes you did!" They would fight often. Which sometimes turned into full on brawls.

"Enough! Separate your selfs Naruto stay with me Konohamaru go to your father." She said.

"Now Naruto did you push your brother down?" The boy shook his head

"Nope. He just wants your attention. Go and look at his knee he's fine." Kushina sighed and pulled Naruto up against her into a tight hug.

"Boys, so dumb but you have to love them."

"Hey! I'm not that dumb." He pouted. His voice was muffled against his mother's breasts.

"Can you and your brother please get along just for me? You are his big brother and even though it doesn't seem like it, he does look up to you. You need to teach him the right things because the truth is one day when me and your father are long gone. Konohamaru will always be on your side no matter what. Through thick and thin. Because that's what brothers are for." Her words shocked Naruto but sunk in deep.

He sighed and hugged her tighter. Naruto realized how childish he was being. Of course 13 was a very awkward age for a boy. Everything was changing and he did question a lot of things.

"Yes mom I promise I'll take care of him, no matter what happens. I love you." She smiled and kisses the top of her sons head. She was very proud of Naruto and definitely couldn't wait to watch him grow into a very humble, smart and hard working man.

"I love you to my son."

3 years later and Naruto has still kept his promise to his mother.

"Hey Konohamaru don't forget to set your alarm this time. Mom does have time to be bringing you to school because your late and Dad is busy at work."

"Ok Onii-chan" Konohamaru said and did just as he was told.

"Thank you. Goodnight sleep tight." Naruto smiled then shut the door. His parents were already fast asleep in bed together. Naruto was the last to go to bed. He did this mostly every night wanting to make sure his family was safe. Minato ordered him a few times to sleep but Naruto fought him on it.

"Naruto please you need to sleep."

"Dad it's okay I'll turn in eventually. You should go lay with mom. You know she's probably waiting for you."

"I'll never win with you will I? Thank you. I love you." Minato messed up Naruto's hair and kissed his head. That was the last time Naruto ever saw his father.

Naruto's POV

"Naruto ya know sleeping in class isn't getting you anywhere?" I heard as I woke up from the bell. Damn it I fell asleep again.

"Sorry. I've been up late making sure my family is secure."

"Secure?"

"Yeah I make sure Konohamaru is in bed and make sure my mom gets rest. I'll do all the cleaning up so my parents can rest." I say before standing and stretching.

"That's really sweet of you Naruto. I didn't know you had something like that in you." I rolled my eyes and grabbed my car keys out of my pocket.

"I'd do anything for my family ya know. This is my favorite part of my day getting to go home." I grabbed my bag and started to walk to the exit door when I heard my name on the intercom.

"Naruto Uzumaki please report to the main office. Naruto Uzumaki please report to the main office." Huh? What's the main office want me for? Don't they know I gotta pick my brother up from school in like an hour.

I made my way to the office and little did I know Konohamaru was sitting in the office. I looked confused.

"Why is he here? Who dismissed him and drove him here?" I sat next to him and he looked at me not knowing what was going on either. The principal walked into the room and started explaining.

"The superintendent actually picked up Konohamaru and brought him here because we actually have some never important and heart breaking news to share to you two." I raised an eye brow and looked at Konohamaru.

"There has been a very brutal shooting. The shooting took place in your home and your parents have been pronounced dead." She said looking down. No this is a joke right? There no way this is real I must be dreaming.

"Okay cut the bullshit that's not funny to joke like that." I said standing up.

"Naruto this isn't a joke. Your parents have passed."
