Hana's POV
I got ready for bed after Felix left. I made sure to lock the doors. I was just drifting off to sleep when I heard something down stairs.
I bolted up and checked my phone. It was 12:32 AM.
"Felix?" I called. No answer. "Dad?" Again no answer.
I thought about going down and checking. There was a crash and the slow heavy footsteps up the stairs. I started shaking. I grabbed my phone and as queitly as I could I went into my closet. Then there banging on the door.
I stayed as quiet as possible. The footsteps grew closer to my closet door. I hide father back behind some long dresses. The closet door opened and the footsteps grew closer. I squeezed my eyes closed. The opened them and....

Felix POV
On the way home I asked Mom if we could stop at the store on the way home. She agreed quietly. The ride was so suffocating. Mom didn't talk and seemed out of it. "Mom. Are you okay?" I asked.
Jumped slightly but then nodded. I ran into the store and bought something for Hana tommorow. As I checked out I saw dad. I started waving but stopped when I saw him with another lady. She looked like a model and had short blonde hair and perfect makeup. She had a short ass dress on. Hoe. She was hanging on to dad and they were being so touchy it was gross.
I quickly paid and ran outta the store. Dad was too busy with the women they didn't notice me. "Mom. We're is dad?" O asked as I put my seat belt on. She looked startled bit then said, "He's on a business trip to China I think." He lied again, that bastard.
I so hope mom isn't suspecting something. I'm going to talk to dad when he gets home.
When we got home I washed up and climbed to bed. I set my phone to vibrate and texted Hana 'night' and rolled over. After ten minutes Hana still hasn't replied. She usually replies after like a minute. Maybe she's sleeping. Whatever. I rolled back over and went to sleep.
Back to Hanas POV.
I opened my eyes and saw feet. I couldn't really see who it was but I could make out a huge scar on his right side of his face and he had a couple of teeth missing.
He turned all around and looked everywhere but after not finding me he took out his phone and called someone. "Hey boss. She's not here." There was yelling over the phone but he started walking out of the closet so I couldn't hear. I heard him clomping down the stairs. But I didn't trust that.
I stayed in the closet that whole night just in case the guy was still here somewhere. I grabbed a few blankets from my shelf and make a little nest. The next morning I woke up stiff as hell. Then I remembered what happened last night. I quietly got ready and grabbed my bag, phone, some money, and my bag. Instead of waiting for Felix I started walking. I texted Felix and told him to meet me at the little cafe near the school asap. Twenty minutes later he ran in the cafe. He had all he needed for school so we could just walk to school after we're done. We still had an hour till school started.
"Hey, is everything okay?" Lix asked while we stood in line to order. I nodded. When we sat back down Lix gave me the look that said, start talking. So I did. I told him from the beginning to the end. I didn't miss out how the guy looked and how he had the phone call at the end.
Lix listened till the end. Then when I finished he said, "Your NOT staying at home by yourself. And why the hell didn't you call me. I would've came over." He said glaring at me. " Well it was too late and you would've got hurt. This guy was strong."
" Yeah I could've punched him right in the nose like this." He said pinching the air. " Yeah yeah." I said sipping my smoothie. " But in all seriousness, next time something happens like this, you call me right away. Got it?" He said holding out his pinky. "Lix we're not in kindergarten anymore. But yeah I promise." I wrapped my pinky around his.
Lix was in a good mood this morning but there was something wrong. I couldn't place my finger on it. He was hiding something.
"Lix, is there something you aren't telling me?" Felixs face dropped. "Sometime I wish you couldn't read me so well."
" Well spit it out what is it?" I leaned forward. " Okay okay calm your ass. So late night after mom picked me up I stopped at the store and dad was there with another lady. They were all touchy. I asked Mom where dad is and she said he went on a business trip to China. But of course he lied." He sipped his coffee.
" Does your mom know about all this? " I asked. "No he thinks he's in China." He stared out the window. Suddenly he jumped. " Is that the guy you were talking about?" He pointed to a guy that was tall fat bald and had a scar down his face. I shook my head. "No the guy yesterday was a little skinner and wasn't that bald."
Felix sighed in relief and sat back down. We talked until it was time to go to school. We meet up with the others by the tree and surprisingly we weren't late. Probably because Felix didn't sleep in today.
The whole day I thought about the guy in my house. Dad didn't come home yesterday so he probably spent the night somewhere else then just left to work from there. But Felix isn't going to let this go so easily.
