Her sky blue eyes couldn't meet her father's similar ones, but something deep within her wanted to shout and protest, but as usual she couldn't. Rod Reiss sat cross-legged on his leather sofa, reading the daily news with a roll of tobacco hanging at the corner of his lips. His aftershave scent wafted in his office giving this manly aura, very intimidating. Historia sighed gaining her father's attention; Rod looked up with a cocked eyebrow. He was fairly aged; wrinkles were painted on his face with specks of gray strands of hair.

"Papa..." she bit on her bottom lip afraid to go on, she brought her gaze to match her father's own. He stared at her waiting for her to continue. She clenched her fists "...I don't want to marry, Mr. Yeager"

Silence filled the office. The fan whirled causing this annoying sound Historia hated but now she ignored it, she needed to hear what her father had to say.
Rod sat up making the leather he was sitting on squeak, he pulled the tobacco from his lips, holding it between his index and middle finger, he sighed.

"Historia..."

"Father I don't want to marry him." shouted Historia without giving her father the slightest bit of courtesy, she rose to her feet immediately and pounded her palms on the glass coffee table he kept with a stack of magazines.

"He's an animal and a brute! You can't possibly allow this man to take your youngest daughter!"

Rod stared at his daughter before rubbing his temples deeply. Historia hated that, she knew exactly what that meant. His movement, all of it she hated it. He dropped his roll before rising to his feet. Historia stared at him and saw how old he was looking, he was clearly stressed.

"Historia... If you marry him, we'll be family... You know what family is" he coughed out while walking towards her, she stared at him in anger and sadness. What the hell was her father thinking. "...we can form a very big company and I'll run it... Then we'll..." he cut himself off as if wanting to say more "...you'll be there spying on our company's behalf"

"But Papa!"

"Do it for Royals... If not for the company then for your father..."

Historia stared at him as tears threatened to slip from her eyes. Did her father not know who Eren Yeager was? A very cunning, young man who might also have similar plans to them. Her father was already old and weak, he needed to pass the title down. Freida was a prime candidate or her. What was her father thinking? Rod wiped her tears with his thumb as she sniffed and quivered, he leans closer to her face and stared deep into her eyes.

"Do it for family" he cooed

"B-But...Pa-"

"Do it" his voice sounded harsher this time and his eyes were dark. Historia trembled seeing her pleas were falling on deaf ears. She looked down in defeat unable to struggle anymore.

"Yes Papa..." she whispered to herself.

Rod stared at her as his face was monotone, he rubbed her shoulder with a tap before walking to his oak desk, swiftly grabbing his office telephone he croaks out to the recipient.

"Hello, can you book the driver to take Historia back to the manor..." he brought his gaze to Historia who never removed her eyes from the shoes she was wearing, she really didn't want to be involved with a man like Eren. She already loved someone else. "...also take he to Mr. Yeager's mansion and by 5:00pm bring her back, am I understood?"

Historia gritted her teeth in anger as tears slid down her cheeks. She instantly brought her pain stricken blue eyes to her father before screaming with all her bottled up emotions.

"DON'T YOU HAVE A SOUL! HOW COULD YOU BE SO CRUEL!" she cried hard shocking her father greatly, she pushed the case of tulips that was sitting on the coffee table to the ground harshly causing it to shatter. She turned on her heel and ran out of his office.
