Chapter 6: Blood Red

it's been a few months since I've transferred into my new school and since that time I was able to control my new found abilities and to hide them as well.

"hey Leala what are you writing?" Riku asked as I immediately closed my journal. "um..it's nothing Riku"

"hahah is that your diary?" he asked with a grin on his face "i-it's not a diary, it's my journal" I replied to him hiding my journal in my bag.

"by the way aren't you going to do your daily training with Yatogami?" Riku asked yet again as I shook my head.

"no not today, he said I need to take a break from time to time or else I might wear myself off" I explained as Riku held his chin. "that's true.." he mumbled as I turned around to look at an empty seat with a flower vase on it with a single red rose.

"by the way who's seat is that?" I asked as Riku looked at the empty seat as well. "oh...that seat belongs to Andr" Riku replied.

"Andr? is she someone close to Kurou?" I asked yet again.

"why do you ask?" he said.

"well it's just that Kurou was the one who keeps on replacing the rose on her vase, so it must mean that she was close to him right?"

"...yeah Andr was pretty close to Kurou infact they're a couple" he replied as a black sword was flung towards us but thankfully Riku caught it.

"since when did you have the guts to tell someone my story Lionheart" Kurou said as his eyes glowed a crimson red. "Yatogami calm down will you...she'll eventually find out anyway, I just sped up the proce-" before Riku could even finish what he was gonna say Kurou grabbed his head and tossed him out the window.

"Riku! are you okay?!" I yelled as he stood up and scratched his head.

"y-yeah I'm fine!" he yelled as Kurou jumped out the window.

=Riku's POV=

as Kurou slowly walked towards me I felt his presence getting stronger and stronger.

"what's wrong Lionheart? having trouble breathing?" he asked. crud I feel like I'm in the bottom of the ocean

"damn it Kurou don't make me fight you..." I said as he grabbed my head and gripped it tightly "what? oh please Lionheart just because you bruise me that one time your a match for me" he said as his horns appeared

"f-fine want to play? I'll play!" I yelled kicking him as my hands got covered by stone forming giant gauntlets made out of stone

"Blood Burst!" he yelled as four transparaent tails slowly materialize on his back

"tsk...children these days, such a handful" Shinishi said appearing between us

"you better control that temper of yours Mr. Yatogami, it would be bad if you killed Riku" he said trying to calm Kurou down

"I know it's hard for you to accept it Yatogami but...I'm afraid that it's time for you to move on" Shinishi said as Kurou fell to his knees and started to cry

"it's time to face facts Kurou...Andr is gone and the sooner you realize that the better"
