(Before I begin, yes, there is such thing as a sea mouse, look it up)
The night had taken such a wonderful turn for the better. Maria and her beloved nutcracker had such a ball underneath the Christmas tree, among the presents and toys. However, all of a sudden, there began a wild jostling, as if the floor itself were unearthing.
Then, out of a lone, present, a whirlwind flew out, backing the couple into a corner. When the smoke cleared, it was none other than Parriolas, the sea-mouse king!
"The WHAT?!" Parriolas barked. "I'm the GUARDIAN prince, not a puny sea-mouse! This is ridiculous! I'm out of here!"
Uh--hey! Wait, don't go! You KNOW the sea-mouse king wins, right?
Parriolas stuck his head out from the corner he had just rounded. "...He does?"
Yes, yes! The king wins in the end. You get the girl!
"Hm...well, it'd be a nice change of pace, I suppose. That dratted Atlantean had plot armor during the last story, I SWEAR. Fine, I'll do it!"
And so, Parriolas, the sea-mouse king, (who will win in the end), had come for Maria. He had wanted her to be his queen.
"Don't worry, I'LL protect you!" the nutcracker declared bravely, drawing his sword and clicking a small button on the side of the hilt, turning it into a three-pronged blade. Unfortunately, with one swift kick, the nutcracker was sent flying into the tree, tangled in one of the string of lights.
"Oh, no!" Maria wailed, but there was no time to escape. With a swish of his magic staff, Maria was captured inside the orb that sat atop of said staff. But, the nutcracker swiftly cut himself down, trying to give chase.
But, he was too late. The sea-mouse king had already mounted a toy train and ridden it into the box he had emerged from, the gates to his icy kingdom. The nutcracker was locked outside, with no way in.
It was then he took the time to ponder the situation. "Hm...something screwy's going on here..."
"Hello, brother!"
The nutcracker whirled around to see...his twin in gold Atlantean armor? "Atlas? What are you doing here? You're not in the Nutcracker!"
"I am now!" Atlas declared, still not aware of what was going on.
"Okay...what are you supposed to be?"
"I BE helping you?"
"No, no...what ROLE are you playing?"
"Uh...I dunno, Hamlet?"
The nutcracker blinked dubiously at the new character in front of him, then looked off to the side. "...Can I get a little help here?"
Also, no. I'm staying out of this one. This story's one big parody as it is, you're on your own, coral-brain.
The nutcracker let out an exasperated sigh, but tried again. "Atlas, what role are you playing from the NUTCRACKER?"
Atlas finally caught on. "Oh, right! I'll be the, uh...magical snow fairy who can instantly transport you to the evil sea-mouse king's hidden kingdom!"
Atla--I mean, the snow fairy, walked up to the lone present, snapped his fingers, and the gates came down at once, unfortunately flattening him. Still, it worked for the nutcracker. "Haha! NOW you're talking! Let's go!"
Hi! Sorry I haven't updated this in a while, but it's the holiday season again, so here we are! Hopefully, I'll be able to actually FINISH it this year before Christmas comes.
