Chapter one:
Hi, hello I'm kara Danvers sorry it sounds like I'm in a rush, I'm currently trying to get ready before work so miss grant won't kill me.

So this is just me, kara a assistant to cat grant in national city. So miss grant has a huge gala coming up and it's been my job to basically organise everything and I have been on my feet, that's why I'm so rushed this morning. "Miss miss your coffee???" Oh shoot I spaced out again, haha spaced out I love that saying because I'm literally from space "hmm miss??" Ooo gosh no time to explain I'll explain later. " Thank you. Sorry about that" honestly coffee run in the morning is honestly stressful in itself but god does it feel good? Yes it feels incredible the taste of the caffeine, hey I like coffee don't judge me. " KIERA" here we go good morning to you to miss grant.

I took a deep breath and paced into miss grants office "Good morning miss grant how can I help you?" " OH KEIRA GOOD, you look like it's your first day of middle school abs you didn't know what to wear so you try to be cute, ANYWAY how is the gala coming along?" I am unbelievably confused right now like was that a compliment or was it a diss incase "hm thanks? I guess? The gala is going good your guest list basically everyone rsvped so everything is going as planned" miss grant smiled big "amazing amazing" I nod " oh miss grant I will be leaving early so that I can check the venue over, will you need me for anything else" she looks over her glasses at me " that's all fine Kira, you will be attending this evening? You have 2 guest tickets also" I am shocked this is my first gala I didn't think that an assistant would be allowed such a honour, " oh thank you miss grant I will see you later on" She just nods at me.

Oh my goodness this means I need a dress and everything, I'll text Alex tell her she's invited only if she brings me an outfit oh I need to tell son he can come also. Oh wait my bad Alex is my older sister and win is my best friend I met him on my first day here which was like 6 months ago he is actually shocked I haven't been fired yet. But yeah whatever so this gala....

2 hours later

So I've literally just been running around to printing collecting extra copies of the magazine for tonight BUT I am finally stopping and getting the chance to get food oh nonans and there beautiful dumplings oh wow honestly the best things on this planet. "OH SHIT I'm so sorry" oh well there goes my dumplings "it's fine it's just food I can get more sorry for the soy sauce all over your dress shirt" I say because you know that's pissed me off but she might be having a worse day so I just got to be kind, "oh dear I'm so sorry I thought you was going to punch me I would have if someone dropped my food" I look at this woman so shocked " I'm kidding" she says laughing "oh sorry it's been a long day" she smiles "that's ok at least let me buy you some more of those things it was my fault and I'm not taking no as an answer" I can't help but laugh and smile "Thanks, how come I've never seen you around here before?" She sad smiled "well I'm new to the city for relocation and rebrand" I smile "that's super cool!" She ordered our food she was nice nice normal chat" " Order for El?" She smiled and takes it handing me more dumplings omg best things "thank you for these, but I got to dash off" I say realising the time, "no problem, I'll see you around!" I smile "see you around" I rush off protecting these dumplings at all cost.

Finally I'm in my apartment block and Alex texted that she's already here. I walk through the door she raises an eyebrow. "What?? I brought food with me ?" She laughs "LIKE YOU ARE GOING TO SHARE" I burst out laughing  "that's true I'm not, so what are we wearing" I say  Alex holds up to dresses I grin.

•Time skip•
I am at the gala and the guests just keep coming I'm obviously trailing behind miss grant when she gasps slightly " I didn't think she would actually come this is incredible" miss grant says clearly in shock, I'm still looking at my clipboard so obviously I'm not paying attention as always "Miss Luther, I am so happy you could make it on such short notice" Luther oh god I can't help but gulp fear god her brother and my cousin hated each other, well tried to kill each other a few times if I want to Be realistic, "it's no problem cat, I thought if anywhere I should show my face it should be here" cat smiled " incredible, you should come to my office on Monday of your free, not an interview just a catch up?" Cat says "that sounds nice" "ok well I've just got to go over there to say hello to the senator, but kara will book you in" I look up and nervously smile "dumpling girl" I can feel how red I've went oh lord "hhhhhii Miss Luther" cat looked at us strangely and scurried off " well hello again" miss Luther says " hello" she literally makes me physically nervous, "when can I book you in" she's taller than me she looks incredible, she's a Luther this is so intimidating. "Afternoon?" She says "12pm ok?" She grins "ok amazing I'm going to ditch this now but see you around dumpling" she says walking off, that was so intense.

I walk over to alex and win and Alex tells me that she hs to leave she has a work emergency which confused me for a scientist she sure has a lot of work emergencies which is truly shocking and quite weird, but yeah i gave her a huge and said good bye and wished her good luck.

Thankfully the night is coming to end and miss grant told me i could have the weekend off which i am beyond thankful for. As i am walking out waiting for my car to arrive i said my goodbyes to win and got in my car. I honestly don't know why i have this car to make me look normal,

I guess I should probably introduce myself properly. So I am Kara Danvers AKA Kara Zor-El and I am alien I came to earth as a refugee from my home planet when my home planet of krypton was destroyed. I came to protect and look after my baby cousin Kal-El but i got stuck in a time loop called the fantom zone where time does not pass so when i arrived at earth he was all grown up and well i was an orphan. But Kal-El now known aka superman or his day to day name Clark Kent. Introduced me to some people i know my adopted mother and Father Jeremiah and Eliza Danvers and there daughter Alex. And wow what can i say i am extremely lucky to have found them.
