"Finally, our last year!" Ron exclaimed, jumping into a free booth on the train. Harry smiled. "I'm going to miss it." After the war, professor mcgonnagal decided that all student who missed their year last year, would get an extra one, to make up for it. Another thing that had changed, was Ron and hermione who decided they were better off as friends. Suddenly someone walked through their compartment door. "Ginny." Hermione said. "I was wondering where you were."
"Sorry I was just talking to Luna."
She walked over to Harry and kissed him passionately on the lips. Ron rolled his eyes. "Do you guys seriously have to do this here?" He asked. Ginny laughed. "Yes we do thank you very much." She kissed him again, more aggressive this time and Ron groaned. "Seriously! Save it for the bedroom!" Now Harry laughed. "Ohhhh, we do much more then that in there" he winked. Disgusted, Ron walked out of their compartment, muttering about getting something from the trolley. "He's such a pain in the arse" ginny said. Hermione nodded then said, "I'll be right back, bathroom." She left and walked off. Suddenly she bumped into someone, causing them to drop all their books. "Oh I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed, helping pick them up. When she looked up, however, she realised it was no other then Draco Malfoy. " watch where your going, mudblood" he pushed her and walked off. She sighed. She honestly thought he would have changed, after the war and everything. Something's must never change.Draco walked into his compartment to see a face he was hoping he wouldn't see all year. "Draco!" Cried pansy Parkinson, kissing him so hard he almost fell back. He pulled back, he really thought she would be over him. "Pansy....." He said trying to sound as happy as he could. He heard one of his best friends Blaise snigger in the background and he scowled at him. "Oh! I'm so glad your here! I missed you so much!" She hugged him and swear he saw her sticking her butt out and wiggling it a bit. When she finally let go he sat down next to Blaise and unfortunately, she sat on his lap. "I'm so glad this is our last year" She was saying. "I mean it'll obviously be better now dumbledores dead and all but......" He stopped listening to her. He didn't want to admit it, but he actually almost felt bad about what had happened to him......almost.
"Finally...." Theo said.
Draco looked out the window to see the huge towers of hogwarts, fully built again. He sighed, grabbed his trunk and walked out."Oh I'm so glad to be back here" said Neville, stuffing his face with chicken. The first years had just been sorted, so it was time for the headmistress's speech. "Attention" yelled mcgonnagal. Silence spread across the room. "It is time to announce head boy, and head girl." Everyone clapped and cheered, until mcgonnagal put her hand up, silencing everybody again. "First of all, we have made one small change, head boy and girl will be sharing their own common room, and will be required to be on patrol every night. Now time for the names, ladies first. The head girl for this year is.........Gryffindors hermione granger!" Cheers erupted from every table except the slytherins, who seemed to be looking at her with disgust. Blushing, hermione walked up on stage and stood next to mcgonnagal. "Now, your head boy is......slytherins Draco Malfoy!" Applause loud enough to have been made by all four houses, came from the slytherins. "I would like you to both come to my office after desert. Now enjoy!" Hermione slowly made her way down to her table. Draco Malfoy. She had to share a common room with Draco Malfoy! She looked over at him to see he was scowling at her. "Oh I'm so sorry 'mione." Ginny said hugging her. "It's....okay, we'll just ignore each other" she said giving them a reassuring smile, even though she was no where near reassured herself.
After desert.
Draco and hermione made their way silently up to professor mcgonnagals office, neither of them daring to break the silence. "Now" mcgonnagal said as soon as they walked in. "I know you two aren't......friends, but most students would love to be where you are so don't blow it by have a mishap." She glared at them. "Now, i'll show you to your rooms." She lead them up the stairs into the top tower, then stopped in front of a portrait of a smiling wizard, wearing violet robes "Congratulations mr Malfoy and miss granger" he said. Mcgonnagal rolled her eyes. "Suck up" she said under her breath. "This is sir chansel. Your password is time turner" she said and the portrait swung open. Inside was a beautiful room made of white marble, with two couches a large fire place and two doors, leading off to separate rooms. "Miss granger, your room is on the right. Mr Malfoy, left. I hope you learn to enjoy each other's company because you shall be spending most of your time together. Now, your trunks are already in your rooms, so I must say goodnight now." Mcgonnagal left leaving the two enemies standing next to each other. There was an awkward silence, until finally hermione said. "Look, I know you don't want to be here, and neither do I, but we can't fight over absolutely everything, so let's just ignore each other and only speak when it's necessary." She looked at him to see he was considering this. He shook his head. "Fine, we'll only talk if we have to." She nodded, and with that, hermione walked into the room on the right, and Draco walked into the one on the left.
