I apologize for the delayed chapter. Not busy, just overtaken by writer's block. It's been happening with other stories as well. I do hope you'll forgive me with this heartwarming chapter ☮ --The art is credited to its prospective creator (づ ̄ 3 ̄)づ
"So..." Alya eyes her best friend, who now sits on her bed, before her eyes flicker toward Luka, who was well across the room sitting at Marinette's sketch desk. He calmly spun around on the swivel chair, hands laced behind his head. "Are...are you guys dating now?"
"What?!" Marinette squeaked. "N-no! Alya, no!" Her face burns bright.
"Uh-huh..." Alya smirked. "You two, uh, you two looked rather cozy fondling each other." With that comment, both of the teens blushed. Luka didn't redden as much as Marinette did, but he did turn red.
"I told you! He wouldn't give me my design!" Marinette wagged the said design in the air.
"So you decided to seduce your design back?" Alya sure was getting a kick out of Marinette's embarrassment.
Originally, when she decided to come over, she was going to invite her best friend to some Ladybug hunting for her LadyBlog, but instead, she found Marinette straddling a very confident Luka. It really shocked her to an extent, but Alya knew this day would come. The day where Marinette would finally move on from Adrien...and move onto the hot punk boy who is so in tune with the music that he is music.
Alya had to hand it to Marinette, she had a good eye. If Luka was her type, Alya certainly would chase him down herself, but fortunately for him, she's got another guy tied pretty good.
"No! And I did not s-seduce him!" Marinette hissed more flustered (if it were even possible).
"Seemed like you were having fun while doing it, though~" Luka joined in on the 'fun'. He smirked, abruptly pausing his spinning, staring directly at Marinette.
"I don't know why I try!" Marinette groaned while face planting into her pillows.
"I don't know why you fight my encouragement!" Alya hit the ball out of the field with her playful daunt.
"It's not encouragement if I'm not confident!" Marinette's reply was rather muffled.
"I dunno, " Luka's smirk grew wider. "Seemed to me you were a hundred percent confident when you tackled me."
"She tackled you?" Alya snapped her attention on Luka, jaw hinged in utter disbelief.
Luka lazily nodded his head, his dyed hair rustling as he did so.
"Atta girl, Mari! Just like I taught ya!" Alya whooped, cheering her friend on with a giant smile.
The ombre-haired teenager only received a whimper. Marinette buried herself under her blankets and pillows.
This is so embarrassing! She didn't mean for this to turn out the way it did!
"Please kill me!" Marinette wailed, but her cry was muffled by the pillows she was currently trying to smother herself with.
"I'm afraid, that's not an option, my dear friend!" Alya gets to her feet, goes over to the bed, and then sits near the lumpy blanket hill's middle. "But, don't worry! I'll allow you to suffer a little while longer."
"Like that makes everything so much better!"
Alya laughs before gazing at Luka, "So, you have plans after three tomorrow?"
The punker boy looked at her, "Not really. What do you have in mind?"
"Well, I wanted to try to find a scoop for my LadyBlog. There haven't been many Akuma attacks lately and it's proven difficult to get an interview with Ladybug and Chat Noir. I know they do night patrols, but they don't really stay long in my neighborhood." Alya dismayed with a frown and quirked her eyebrows.
"Maybe we should have a stakeout, " Luka suggests. "And then pretend like we're in danger."
"I don't wanna make them angry, after all, they're the heroes of Paris!" Alya says after some time of deep thought.
"I'm sure they won't be too mad, " Luka assured Alya easily. "They've probably had way more extreme fans doing hardcore par core to gain their attention."
"I guess you're right, "
Marinette let out an inaudible huff. Of course, they were right! If she went along with their crazy schemes, it would be hard to get away and come back as Ladybug. And to even make up for her absence, she'd have to lie to her friends. She really hates lying to her friends. Especially about being Ladybug.
"That settles it, then? Where are we gonna meet?" Luka says.
Alya hummed, thinking about the location, and the day they'd hunt. She rubbed her chin before grinning mischievously. "How about here? Marinette's got a great view of the city!"
Hearing the planned suggestion, Marinette shoots up from underneath the comforter, panicked, she tries to redirect the plan. "Wh-why not at the Eiffel Tower? It's one of the highest points in the city!"
"That's a great idea, Mari!" Alya burst excitedly. "The tower gives them a full three-sixty view of Paris! You're a genius!"
"Yeah, yeah! I'm Einstein!"
And scene! I'm sorry for cutting this chapter to an end right now. As I said at the beginning, I've been hit with writer's block. So all my stories are taking a while to be written. I've been writing bit after bit until now. Again, I'm sorry if it was boring or rushed or if you just didn't like it. I'll tell you now, it'll get better! Promise!
Anyway, don't forget to drop that vote and comment if you've got any thoughts and I'll see you in Chapter Nine!
