1. Tell us about yourself.

My name is Everleigh, I'm almost 16 and my greatest passion is writing. I started writing when I was around 7 and those stories were my own versions of Arthur episodes. I'd write them out on lined paper and string them together for the binding. My mother gave me a drawer in her filing cabinet and I filled it with different stories. I really began taking my writing seriously when I discovered Wattpad three years ago.

2. You enjoy Greek Mythology. Which story is your favourite? Narrate it in a few sentences.

My favourite story is about a girl; the most beautiful woman ever seen, named Helen who runs off with the prince of the ancient city of Troy. I can't really explain their tale well in a few sentences nor can I do it justice but it's a beautiful story.

3. Do you believe in writer's block?

I do believe in writer's block, having experienced it myself. Whenever I experience it, I read my old books and stories and they inspire me.

4. What is your upcoming story 'Lady of Leisure' about?

"Lady Of Leisure" is a spinoff to my current story 'Dead End' although it can be read as a standalone. It's about a 18 year old girl who's forced to raise her siblings on her own to avoid her abusive grandfather or separation in foster care and turns to prostitution for her main source of income, jeopardizing her chances with a long-time friend she has a mutual affection for.

5. If you could either be a rich underworld mob leader or a poor writer (but a great one), which one would you rather be?

I would have to go with being a poor writer. I'm muslim, and we are always taught that if we do what's right, Allah will always make us rich, be it in love; happiness, faith, health, or peace. So as long as my earnings are clean, and I'm passionate and can use my talent to spread positivity, poverty can't pose an issue.

6. Shakespeare or Jane Austen? Why?

Haven't read either. I'm a Bronté girl.

7. What helps you concentrate better while writing?

I tend to write better in the dead of night, around the early a.m and I've never understood why. I always like to have cinnamon bun oreos when I'm writing.

8. What is better- fantasy or contemporary?

Fantasy, by far. It's a world other than our own where anything can be possible and that's beautiful.
