Today we're joined by Hana or @Scintillahx, a college student and a budding Wattpad writer, who can not only write but also draw. Dear beloved, if I possessed that many hobbies, I would be acting with Meryl Streep and recreating Picasso's artwork by now. Unfortunately, we were all born with something unique so I must bid farewell to my fictional acting career and get started with this interview. Put your hands together for the marvellous Hana, everybody!

Let's begin with a good ol' challenge. Tell us a little about "Disastrously Tangled". But, but, wait for it, in the purest or rather oldest form of English you could ever bring yourself to use. That being said, modern day slang is restricted. Shakespearean, Edwardian, Victorian, Medieval, go for it. Lady Hana, you may answer now!

Oh my, that is a little hard but I'll give it a shot. Disastrously Tangled is a piece of work that was purely inspired by a few novels I've read with a pinch of my real life. I wouldn't sugar-coat my statement and affirm that I profoundly relate to every single event throughout the whole book because that would be completely untrue but I can certainly assure my readers that I literally pour my heart out in every chapter in order to deliver some satisfying and relatable content to them, in addition to the fact that the female protagonist and I have a few things in common.

I honestly don't think that I won the challenge but here you are. Haha.

You did extremely well! How do you craft your characters? Run us through your creative process for characterisation.

To be quite honest, some of my characters are inspired by people I personally know in real life so that kinda makes it easier to craft them. As for the other ones, I try to make them as realistic as possible. People whom we can all relate to on a certain level.

That shows just how humble and honest you are as an author! Do you think marketing and promoting your story is equally important as posting consistently and writing with passion? Why?

Promoting your story is certainly important because it helps you get your work recognized and so increase the reads and the votes but I don't think it is as important as posting consistently and writing with passion because the most important thing is the fact that you actually write, this should be for yourself and not for other people. Even if you don't get many reads and whatsoever for not promoting your book, you should always remind yourself that you write for yourself because it makes you happy.

That is some brilliant piece of advice. Being a college student and a writer, how do you de-stress when the workload is too much?

I have honestly just started writing a month ago and it was during the time of my mid-term exams, afterwards, my holidays came so I had plenty of time to write peacefully. I still don't know how I can de-stress but I guess I'll end up taking a break and focusing on studies as a priority.

Have you ever considered sending your work to publishing agencies or applying for the "Paid Stories" program on Wattpad? To follow up on that, what do you think is more effective- the artist approaching the opportunity or the opportunity approaching the artist?

Honestly, no. My book is still on the process of getting more recognition and gaining diligent readers so I'm still not ready for any of that but I would really like to believe that I might publish my works one day and touch people's hearts. Also, I think the artist approaching the opportunity is more effective because they work hard for it and it will definitely pay off eventually.❤

Moving on, if you were to appear in an already released movie based on a book, which one would it be and why?

Either After or Twilight. I would love to play Tessa and Bella's roles because simply I'm a die-hard fan of those books. Although, I was disappointed with the After movie because the series is a lot better.

Growing up, what did you aspire to be?

Oh, that's a good question! I never settled on one thing, actually. I went from being a pop star like Hannah Montana to a doctor, an engineer, a freelance photographer and also an author.

What is one of your favourite memories in life that helped shaped the person you are today? Especially, as a writer?

Umm... I think going on this really fun vacation last summer. I honestly was going through a hard time and that vacation just came on time so I just decided to let it go and have all the fun in the world. I swam carelessly although I'm kinda aquaphobic and ate ice cream on cold weather, I explored a wild city alone and arrived home late. I don't know, I think I just wanted to live the moment? But those days were definitely inspiring.

And now for the Rapid Fire Round,

Name a TV Show you wish you were a part of, Go!

Oh, there are many! The Vampire Diaries, Friends and Hannah Montana when I was a kid. Lol.

Would you rather be trapped in IKEA or Walmart? Go!

Can I choose Disneyland instead?

Describe your dream vacation, Go!

The Maldives? Getting a fancy beach house on some unknown island and spend the whole vacation with my best friends. LA, Prague or Istanbul would do too.

Your favourite food joint, go!

Starbucks!

I would really like to thank harlowwinters for interviewing me. She's such a nice girl and I was honored to have her as my interviewer. Thank you so much! ❤

Thank you for responding with such enthusiasm, Hana! It was an honour and delight to have interviewed you. To all our beloved readers, don't think twice, just go check "Disastrously Tangled" by @Scintillahx out now!
