Apex Avenger: Till The End

Ch 12

"Get up young one. Come on get up." I hear as I'm shaken awake.

I groan and see Thor above me.

"Come on young one." He says as he helps me get up from the rubble, I groan rubbing my head.

"What the hell?" I grumble looking around.

"Impossible." Thor says looking out in the distance.

I turn around and see Thanos and I'm speechless.

"I guess we weren't the only ones planning a time heist." I say.

We then hear footsteps through the rubble.

"What's he been doing?" Uncle Tony asks.

"Absolutely nothing." Thor responds.

"Where are the stones?" Steve asks looking between us.

"Somewhere under all this. All I know is he doesn't have them." I tell him.

"So we keep it that way." He nods.

"You know it's a trap, right?" Thor asks.

"Yeah, and I don't much care." Tony says.

"Good, just as long we are all in agreement." Thor says as he extends his arms out, both Stormbreaker and Mjolnir come to him. His attire changing into one more appropriate for battle.

"Let's kill him properly this time." He adds gripping his weapons tight.

I shift into Smash and pound my chest once with my right fist. The four of us make our way to the titan.

"You could not live with your own failure. And where did that being you? Back to me. I though by eliminating half of life. The other half would thrive. But you've shown me that's impossible. And as long as there are those that are unable to accept what can be. They will resist." Thanos says.

"Yep. We're all kinds of stubborn." Tony tells him.

"I'm thankful. Because now. I know what I must do. I will shred this universe universe down to its last atom. And then with the stones you've collected for me, create a new one. Teeming with life, but knows not what it has lost but only what it has been given. A grateful universe." Thanos says as he gets up from his seat, placing his helmet on.

"Born out of blood." Steve says.

"They'll never know it. Because you won't be alive to tell them." He says and I charge at him as the fighting starts.

I take a swing but he ducks and kicks me away hard in the chest.

"Okay Thor hit me!" I hear Tony command.

I shift back and breath heavily, I see Thanos have Thor pinned to the ground using Stormbreaker against him. My eyes flicker to Mjolnir that's on the ground a few feet away.

Mjolnir starts to float off the ground suddenly flying hitting Thanos, zooming past stopping then flying back. Both Thanos and Thor look over in amazement as they see a human Apex with the hammer in hand.

"I knew it!" Thor grins.

Thanos kicks Thor away as he focuses his attention to me. I charge at him swinging Mjolnir and hitting him in the face knocking him down to the ground but he gets up. I slam Mjolnir on the ground creating a shock wave knocking him off his feet. Eventually he gets the upper hand throwing me against a boulder making me groan. I weakly see Steve and Thanos fight as I gather my own strength to get up.

"In all my years of conquest, violence, slaughter, it was never personal. But I'll tell you now, what I'm about to do to your stubborn, annoying little planet, I'm gonna enjoy it. Very, very, much." I hear Thanos say.
