Morag 2014
Rhodey is outside of the Benator as we're landing.
"Alright. Bring it down low. Right on that line. That's it. Down, down." He says.
"Hey, can we hurry it up?" Clint asks.
"Guys, chop chop. Come on. We're on a clock." I tell them.
Nebula then steps out of the ship as she finished landing it.
"All that, is really helpful." Rhodey says before he gives me a hug.
"Take care, okay little cuz?" He tells me.
"Yeah." I nod.
"Take that stone and come back. No messing around." He says.
"Hey. You got this." Clint tells him.
"Let's get it done. Yes, sir." He responds.
Clint and I walk back into the ship.
"See you back in our time." I tell Rhodey.
"You guys watch each other's six." He tells us making Clint and I look at each other and smile.
"Yeah." Clint nods.
We get back inside the ship and the hatch closes. We take our seats in the front and the ship speeds up.
"It's a long way from New York." Clint says making me laugh.
Vormir 2014
We get to Vormir and see this huge mountain.
"Wow. Under different circumstances, this would be totally awesome." He says as we walk towards it.
We then start to climb it and to say I'm hating it is an understatement.
"I bet the raccoon didn't have to climb a mountain." I grumble.
"Technically, he's not a raccoon, you know." Harry speaks from my suit.
"Whatever. He eats garbage." I say.
"Welcome." We hear making us take out our weapons.
"Yaretzi, daughter of Alberto and Clint, son of Edith." A red floating guy says.
"Who are you?" I ask raising an eyebrow.
"Consider me a guide. To you, and to all who seek the Soul Stone." He says and I nod.
"Oh, good. You tell us where it is. Then we'll be on our way." I motion for him to lead the way.
"Ah, liechen. If only it were that easy." He says as he leads us to the cliff.
"What you seek lies in front of you...as does what you fear." He tells us.
"The Stone is down there." I say.
"For one of you. For the other...in order to take the Stone, you must lose that which you love. An everlasting exchange. A soul, for a soul." He says.
~
I'm sitting on a log my hands clasped together as I think, looking down at the ground as Clint watches the Stone keeper.
"How's it going? Jesus...maybe he's making this shit up." He grumbles.
"No. I don't think so." I say seriously with a shake of my head.
"Why? Cause he knows your daddy's name?" He scoffs.
"I didn't. Thanos left with the stone without his daughter. It's not a coincidence." I explain and he looks down.
"Yeah." He mumbles.
I look down swallowing the lump in my throat then a small smile comes across my lips.
"Whatever it takes." I say looking up.
"Whatever it takes." Clint nods.
I then stand up from my seat on the log.
"If we don't get that stone, billions stay dead." I say.
"Then I guess we both know who it's gotta be." He says.
"I guess we do." I nod.
Clint holds my hand and I reciprocate giving it a slight squeeze as we look at each other.
"I'm starting to think we mean different people, Y/N." He furrows his eyebrows.
"For the last five years I've been trying to do one thing, get right here. That's all it's been about. Bringing everybody back." I tell him.
"Oh, don't you get all decent on me now." He shakes his head.
"What? You think I wanna do it? I'm trying to save your life, you idiot." I nudge him.
"Yeah, well I don't want you to because I- Y/N, you know what I've become." He says softly.
"I was doing the same thing before I became an Avenger. I don't judge people on their worst mistakes Clint.." I tell him seriously.
"Maybe you should." He tells me.
"You didn't." I respond softly looking down.
"You're a pain in my ass, you know that?" He grumbles making me chuckle.
We then lean our foreheads against each other.
"Okay. You win." He smiles then knocks me to the ground.
"Tell my family I love them." He says but I tackle him to the ground.
"You tell them yourself and tell Natasha I love her." I say as I run towards the cliff.
Clint shoots an explosive arrow making me fall and as he passes me I trip him and we're both on the ground trying to get up first. My suit comes off on its own making us stop.
"Harry?" I ask confused.
"Yes Y/N?" He speaks through the suit.
"What are you doing?" I ask.
"I'm doing what has to be done." He says softly as if it were obvious.
Clint and I look at each other confused before turning back to my suit.
"I will not allow either of you to sacrifice yourselves when I can sacrifice myself. My soul is in this suit so I will jump off and you will retrieve the soul stone to get Natasha and everyone else back." He says.
"Harry.." I whimper my eyes starting to gloss over.
"I see that you are well taken care of. I've done all I can for you Y/N." He says then turns to Clint.
"Thank you for being there for her." Harry says extending his left arm out.
"Always." He smiles shaking the suit's hand.
I then hug the suit as I start to get emotional.
"I-I don't want you to go Harry. You'll really be gone." I rasp with a sniff.
"I can finally rest in peace. Knowing you're going to be okay." He says and I take a step back with a nod.
"I love you so much Y/N." He says.
"I love you too Harry. Thank you for everything you've done for me." I smile holding back tears.
He then runs and jumps off the cliff. I close my eyes tears slowing flowing down, Clint places a hand on my shoulder for comfort. A boom is heard from the sky and suddenly we are in a pool of water, I look down to see the Soul Stone in my hand. I hit the ground out of sadness.
"Let's go." I rasp to Clint and we activate our suits shrinking.
