Zeldia was occupied working away at her poem for her poetry club. Doing after school activities was good, but she was looking more for something adventurous and exciting.

She heard her cellphone go off and scoff at the caller ID name shown.

"Hello Richard."

"Zeldia, are you gonna be home soon?"

She shook her head in annoyance.

"Yes, I promise."

"Okay bye."

"Bye."

She hung up the phone and went back to writing her poem.

Richard was her older brother who she was renting a room from in his house after his divorce. He'd always been overprotective and insecure regarding dating, which is what led to him, hence the divorce.

Zeldia moved her long curly African dark blonde and black hair to her other shoulder and finished her poem. She was a beautiful girl with her fair skin and that same gorgeous hair. Surprisingly she had no boyfriend, but she wasn't desperate. Zeldia knew he would come when she least suspect it.

She headed to the classroom used for the poetry club and went over to have a drink of water. When she took her seat and waiting for the reading to begin she notice someone new was present.

"Hello everyone, I trust you're all having a good evening." The head of club spoke then guided their attention to someone in particular.

"I went to introduce our newest member, he just transferred here from Georgia. Mr. Damon Salvatore!"

Zeldia  was stunned at how dashing and irresistible he appeared

"Good evening, today I will be reading a poem I wrote only an hour ago."

He pulled out a small piece of paper and recited.

As he was reciting it Zeldia could have swore he was looking straight at her

When it was over everyone applauded loudly.

The head of the club got back up and announced the other members with their poems.

Every now and then Zeldia caught a glimpse of that dashing Damon Salvatore.

Hearing that poem he did stirred something inside her. She drew out her notebook and wrote a new poem.

50 minutes later...

The head of the club announced Zeldia.

"Zeldia."

"Hello, my poem today was going be about something else, but it can wait until next week."

Everyone applauded as Zeldia went back to her seat, as she glance over she saw Damon wink at her

Did he just winked at me, she wondered.

It was already an hour and everyone started to leave.

Zeldia was about to head out the door when she felt a strong hand touch hers.

"Excuse me, Zeldia. Isn't it?"

She turned around and saw it was that same Damon guy.

"Yes?"

"I just wanted to introduce myself personally." He said while smiling.

Zeldia couldn't take her eyes off of Damon's he was handsome even up close. She remembered the purpose of her brother's phone call.

"Well, it was a pleasure having you here and meeting you Mr. Salvatore."

Damon took hold of her hand again.

"Why are you in such a hurry my dear?"

"I'll be frank, I got a overprotective brother who I live with and he gets fussy if I'm not home at a certain time."

Damon smiled admirably.

"He can be bounder less?"

"He can be bounder less?"

"Yes, sadly. It's what cost him his marriage. I am renting my former sister-in-law room at his house until I get my own place."

He moved his fingers along her arm.

"Is that what made you dictate that poem?" He asked softly.

She looked at him and felt like she was in a trance.

Damon stared deeply into her eyes and compelled her.

"Go home to your brother's and when you do. Head straight to your bedroom."

Zeldia blinked and smiled.

"Well, I better go now. It was nice meeting you again Damon."

Damon smiled as he watched her leave. He smiled to himself thinking of the mischief he would eschew on Zeldia brother tonight.
