A baby

"I wonder why has not Levi heichou come yet.." Connie said to his fellow squad members as he glances around and found his captain was nowhere to be found since this morning.

"are you seriously have no idea?" Eren stops his combat practices to looks over at him. Of course the reason behind the unsual absence of his captain was kept a secret and not many knows of it but at least the rumors has spread quite wildly among the survey corps members that the infamous captain was expecting a good news of having his first child born soon.

"yeah.. I have no idea.. " Connie said cluelessly as he stares back at Eren waiting for the titan shifter to spills it.

"he has been at the hospital this past two days.. accompanying his wife..thats what I heard from Hanji san" Eren said, earning the attention of his whole squad members.

"what for?" Sasha stops eating for a moment, and come closer to the boys where mikasa stood still. Spontaneously offering her potato to mikasa but was glad that mikasa refused it.

"that is because Levi is expecting his first baby.. and the baby is ALREADY here.." suddenly Hanji interupt the teenagers. All the Levi elite squad members turn their face to looks at the source of the voice but was a little stunned to see that Hanji was not alone, but there is also Commander Erwin and Commander Pixis with her. All of the Levi squad immediately salute the higher ups of the Surver corps and the leader of the Police Military.

"We just got the news ourselves. So we are heading to the Hospital to visit the newborn... you may come with us, if you guys want..  right Erwin?"Hanji cheerfully said, did not really bother to behave any politely in the present of the two Commander.

Erwin nodded.

From afar they could have already see their captain standing right beside his wife's bed.  He was holding on a baby in his arms that was wrapped with a pink fabric. The captain does not seem to notice their present since he was too busy staring at his sleeping baby until Erwin clear his throat.

Both Levi and Petra look at the direction of the door. They are quite suprised to see quite lot of guest standing there.

"congratulation for your newborn Levi..here is my gift for the little one." Erwin hands him a bag of gift which Levi accept it with his other hand still holding his baby.

" thank you.. but cant you knocked the door before coming.. and also keep your distance shitty glasses.. you are going to make my baby crawled back into Petra's stomach because how bad your smell is.." Levi said.

"awww... but I want to hold her.." Hanji whine a little loud which is not her fault because currently she is too excited upon meeting a newborn baby after so long.

"wash your hands first.." Levi said as he slowly hands over his daughter to his wife on the bed. Petra gladly took her and kiss her forehead affectionately. "have a seat Erwin.. Commander Pixis.. how long are you going to stand there.." Levi lead the two higher ups to sit on the couch provided in this vip ward room, giving his squad members a space to take a closer look to his baby without having to refrain themselves to behave politely in front of the two Commander.

As Levi and the two Commander was talking about a more important things about what has been going on with the government and whatever the Captain needed to be informed of whatsoever. The young squad member of Levi's was all surround the bed to take a look at the baby.

"wahh... she really do resembles your face Petra san minus the hair color.. " Sasha was envious as she seems to be too close to the baby blocking the others view. Indeed the baby has the hair color of Levi and Levi's pale skin.

"right..i thought so too..and you know what, her eyes color is also the same as Levi.." Petra happily spoke and just right on the spot, the baby open her eyelids to show off her steel blue eyes that was as fierce as Levi making the others delighted at the cuteness.

"So what do you want to name her?" Hanji asked.

"Levi Heichou tell me her name just before you guys came.. it is.. Karin Ackerman, he said he wants a name that can be related to his late mother.. so the first letter of Karin is dedicated to both his mother's name, Kuchel and his uncle's name, Kenny. " Petra said.

"I see.. " Hanji glance at Levi who was listening to what Erwin was talking. Realized how a softie the humanity strongest soldier can be which is probably can be revealed to a certain person only. Deep down inside, Hanji wish that she can be that person  and not Petra, to hear him telling stories about his past, about his feelings, his sorrow and happiness.

"What is wrong Hanji san?.." Petra looks at her left, noticing that the squad leader Hanji actually shedding a lone tears.

"uh.. nothing really.. I just Happy that finally Levi found his happiness.. with this newborn." Hanji said with a cracked voice, hoping that Levi and the two Commander did not see her crying.

Petra forms a little smile. She stares onto her baby and kiss her forehead lovingly. Indeed she will protect this child with her live. Thats what she promised Levi the moment they take the wedding vow. Her live will be the sacrifices to ensure the long lasting of this descendent of the Ackerman if it came to that.
