"Apple Bloom!" I hear Scootaloo's husky voice yell from outside the old club house, which is worn out from all them years of crusading. Sweetie Belle suggested that I fix up it again, like we did when Apple Jack first gave it to us. But I like it like this, it's a reminder of all the good times me and the girls had when we were fillies. I like to go there to think sometimes. I peak my head out the window, looking down with wide eyes at my purple-maned friend, tilting my head slightly. "Apple Bloom! Come on! Sweetie's waitin' for us at Rarity's place; she wants our help designing some costumes for her show."
"Oh, ah'ma comin'!" I yell as I rush down the ladders. I sure am thankful that even though we're older now, we still hang out and do stuff together; we may not be the Cutie Mark Crusaders no more, but we will forever be best buds. I smile as I reach Scootaloo, trotting over to her with a wide grin. "Howdy, Scoots!" I fling a leg over her shoulder and hug her tight before we begin trotting back to Rarity's Boutique.
"Apple Bloom! Scootaloo!" Sweetie Belle yells as she sees us approaching the Boutique, happy to see us as always. "We really need to hang out more often," She frowns, her voice filling the air gracefully. As Sweetie's grown up, her voice has become more lady-like and fancy like Rarity's. "I feel like I haven't seen you two in forever!"
"Ah know what ya mean, Sweetie!" I chime in. "Ah've been so dang busy at the farm lately, there's been so many things needin' fixin', especially after that darn storm last week, ah ain't hardly had time for anypony, anypony at all," I pause and then add, "Well, 'part from Apple Jack, Big Mac and Babs," - Who's now living on Sweet Apple Acres with us after a fight with her sister - "of course." I smile.
"I feel ya. I've got so many shows to do now, I barely have time to eat!" Scootaloo huffs.
"Speakin' of shows," I remember. "Scoots said you wanted our help with costumes?"
"Oh, right! Follow me, girls." Sweetie trots into the back room, where a bunch of manikins stand in a row, fabric scattered on the floor. I take in the messy sight. "You know how I am with making costumes... I'm no Rarity." She lifts her shoulders. "And I figured since you're kind of a builder now and all-" She nods at me. "-you'd be able to help me?"
"'Course ah'll help ya, Sweetie Belle!" I beam. "We both will."
"Yay! Thanks, you guys are the best!" She leaps up and pulls us both into a group hug. "I need all the help I can get. Rarity is off in Manehatten helping Coco with some new outfit designs," she rolls her eyes. "So, I'm here all alone. Hmph. Typical Rarity, leaving me in my time of need!" Sweetie definitely is Rarity's sister; such a drama queen.
"Anyway, here's the outfit plans I drew up." Sweetie Belle points to the table in the corner of the room. "As you can see..." She gestures to the manikins that's standing on the left side of the row. "It needs a bit- Er, a lot of work done to it."
Sitting on my haunches, I raise a hoof to my chin. "When is yer show, Sweetie?" I ask.
"Um..." She pauses as she trots over to a calender near the table, "In two days." She nods.
"And how many outfits do you actually need?" Scootaloo asks.
"Three." Sweetie Belle says confidently. "No wait! Four. No! Five. Yeah, five... I think..." She trails off. Typical Sweetie Belle. "Yes. I'm confident that it's five. They're for my back-up dancers, you see." Sweetie Belle is a hot-shot singing sensation now, like Sapphire Shores. She's one of the most famous singers we've ever had in Equestria! Everybody loves her and her 'sweet pipes', as Scootaloo calls them. Scootaloo, by the way, is a famous daredevil now. She never did learn how to fly properly, the poor mare, but Rainbow Dash helped her figure out her true calling. She said that although Scoots can't fly, she's pretty darn good on her scooter and that maybe that's her special talent! That Rainbow Dash sure was right about that. No wonder she's captain of the Wonder Bolts now; she's got great leadership skills and always comes up with the best ideas.
