Knight In Shining Gold

Chapter 1: The Bronze Ranger

One bright Sunday morning in the middle of summer the rangers were once again serving customers in the cafe of the well known Dinosaur museum in Amber beach. However they all had plans that afternoon as Kendall had given the time off. Ivan was just finishing cleaning up the kitchen with the help of Tyler as Shelby and the others cleaned up the dining area after waving goodbye to the last of their customers for the day. 

''Whoo! That took way longer than I was hoping it would be, at least miss Morgan allowed us the rest of the day off! Well I'm spending it with Kaylee what about the rest of you?'' Chase asked, his New Zealand accent as strong as it had ever been. The black ranger was just fixing his helmet on his head and grabbing his skate board whilst looking around his friends and team.

''Shelby and I have plans to go on a lunch date in town'' Tyler replied with a smile as he walked over and took the hand of his pink ranger girlfriend who gave an embarrassed smile before pulling him out of the building to hide the building blush creeping on her cheeks. 

''I'm helping Kendall, Zenowing and Keeper in the base, with Sledge back we need all the fire power we can get. Plus Keeper said he has something important to share with us after we have all had time to ourselves so I want to be back early for that'' Riley replied with a laugh as he slapped Chase on the back playfully before heading to the base under the museum. 

''Well I sir Chase have a ticket to see a show in the towns theatre I hear its a play on what happen 800 years ago around my own time I am simply intrigued to see how the modern day people portray how people in my time used to act'' Ivan replied in his usual knightly manner. The gold ranger pulled his apron off and after pulling his brown coat on he bid the remaining rangers a fair well and made his way towards the Amber beach theatre. 

The waiting time to get into the main hall was pleasantly surprising to the gold ranger and he happily took his seat  at the front of the rows upon rows of seats with a smile. He had bought himself some water and snacks since no theatre trip would be complete without them, at least those were Chases words when he handed Ivan some money to get himself something to enjoy during the show.

Backstage all the actors and other workers were getting ready, the stage was being set and everyone was getting into costume. Eleanor was one of them, the young woman was about the same age as Ivan and she was currently dressed in a princess like dress with her hair curled beautifully with a tiara placed on her head. She was playing the role of a beautiful princess who of course as the cliche goes was to be saved by a brave knight. Thankfully it had a twist as the knight would be hurt and she would fend off the mighty beast, it was a play to inspire young girls to be brave and independent and to show them that they were strong enough to fight their own battles and that they didn't have to reply on men. 

Soon enough the lights dimmed in the theatre and the play began, it was an enticing and thrilling story that was keeping the audience hooked, that included Ivan, he was thoroughly enjoying his time watching it. However the fight scene was the one part that had Ivan on the edge of his seat, for some reason watching this brave young princess fighting to save not only herself but the life of others was simply amazing to him. There was a strange feeling within his chest, however he decided to ignore that  as he wasn't sure what it was.

Eleanor continued the fight scene, however something unforeseen happened, during the scene a jealous member of the club, who desired to be the princess herself managed to trip her sending her falling off the stage. Ivan was quick to act and ran forward catching Eleanor in his arms in a princess hold. ''My lady are you alright?'' Ivan asked as his dark eyes met with her own, wide in surprise with the fact that some stranger had moved to catch and hold her, anyone else would simply have let her fall and either laughed it off, or stared in silent horror.
