Chapter 3: Ice Age

Eleanor stood in silence she didn't know what to do Ivan had just been frozen solid and now she was alone. She couldn't get through to Kendall or any if the other rangers all she could do was expect the worse. "I'll get you out Ivan I promise you" Eleanor whispered as she placed her head against the ice as well as her hand. Just then her energem started to glow as did the gold energem from within the ice block. Just then the ice started to crack in places before it smashed completely, Eleanor gasped before moving forward and catching Ivan in her arms "Ivan! Are you alright? Oh please tell me your not hurt anywhere" she said hugging him close to her chest.

"Ngh... Lady Eleanor you freed me from Ice Age's spell... How did you do it without using your dino blaze charger?" Ivan asked as he placed his gloved hand sweetly against her helmet.

"Dino blaze? I... That's right! I have that charger but... I didn't need it..." Just then Keepers words echoed in her head, "Wait... That's it! I didn't need it because my energem is a little bit special remember? In order for me to start unlocking my full potential as a ranger my bond with you has to be strong, unbreakable. I didn't think it would happen so fast but our bond must have been strong enough to crack and break the weakened ice" Eleanor said with a smile on her face as she helped him to stand up.

"Our bond.. You may be right about that, we should get back to the base I fear the worst for our friends as they haven't answered their com's" Ivan said as he took her hand. Eleanor nodded and ran back to the base with him. When they arrived their worst fears were indeed true. "Kendall!" Ivan shouted as they ran to her frozen in ice.

"Ivan... Eleanor" a voice said from across the room. Eleanor looked over and ran to Keeper helping him stand up slowly.

"Keeper what happened are you okay?" Eleanor asked softly as she helped Keeper over to a chair and helped him to sit down. Ivan then brought his staff over and handed it to him.

"Yes I am just fine now Eleanor thank you for your concern... But Kendall and the other rangers have been attacked by Ice Age and frozen in ice. I managed to bring Kendall back here but I was attacked before I could get the others back here. Ice Age must have them in a secret place to take their energems" Keeper said looking to the two of them.

"We have to find them... Wait I set Ivan free maybe I can free Kendall" Eleanor said moving to the ice holding their purple ranger, she placed her hand on the ice and her forehead her free hand held onto her energem. "Come on... Come on please work" she whispered concentrating, but nothing happened. Getting desperate she moved back and tried the blaze charger but even the fire wouldn't melt the ice. "Damn it! Why won't it work!" Eleanor shouted and turned away with tears in her eyes.

"Lady Eleanor you must not let this get to you... It is as you said our bond must have been the reason that you were able to free me, we must work together to vanquish Ice Age and free our friends" Ivan said grabbing her gently and pulling her into his arms hugging her tightly. Eleanor trembled a little however she nodded and hid her face in his chest.

"Ivan is correct, Ice Age has grown stronger from the last time that the rangers fought against him. However only together can you defeat him and save our friends. Your bond will protect you both from the ice" Keeper said looking to them both with a gentle smile. Ivan and Eleanor looked to one another before nodding softly.

The monitor soon beeped and both remaining rangers hurried to it. "Alien bio-signs...  In the quarry, it must be Ice Age and he probably has the others there with him. We should go there and defeat him now" Eleanor said wiping her tears away and taking Ivan's hands they left the base and started running towards the quarry together.

"Haha!! Finally master Sledge will make me a general and all I have to do if bring him these energems!" Ice age laughed as he looked to the, Green, Blue, Purple, Red, Pink and Silver energems in his hand.
