Chapter 4: Uncontrollable Power

"Alright so combining the energy from both the gold and bronze energems I have made this charger for you Eleanor its called the dino X-elarate charger and if it works it will harness the power of both energems to give you an incredible speed power up. However it requires a lot of concentration and practice to master it meaning its possible you wont be able to handle it on your first try and that's okay... but there is one thing you need to when practicing this... you need to take your time and be careful with it. One wrong move and not only could you be drained of a lot of your morphing power but it could also hurt you if you lose control of it. Saying all that, this is you we are talking about and I know that you will be able to control it if you keep your focus'' Kendall explained as she handed over the newly made dino charger to Eleanor who was standing beside her, taking in everything that was being said and nodding. 

''I understand what it is that I have to do Kendall and don't worry I'll get to the training grounds right now to practice could you uh... get someone to cover my shift at the cafe?'' Eleanor asked with a small smile on her face. Kendell sighed before smiling and nodding as she then nodded her head towards the door. ''Thanks Kendall your the best!'' She giggled hugging her happily then taking the charger and her energem and running out of the base towards the training grounds. 

It had been a whole week since Eleanor had joined the team and the cafe as the newest waitress, and ever  since her arrival everything had been much brighter and happier. Ivan seemed much happier too and even though they hadn't exactly told the others that they were now an official item together, everyone could pretty much tell with all the flirting between the two of them and all the hand holding and kissing, it was pretty obvious that they were now happily dating. Eleanor also helped to keep the likes of Chase and Koda focused on their work, no more incidents with Chase almost burning the museum by not paying attention to the grill, and of course no more Koda occasionally trying to eat the customers food instead of serving it. 

''Okay, I've just started to unlock my potential hidden within the bronze energem so I have to keep the promise that I made to everyone and work my hardest to keep up with them all. I cant let my team down, now what was it that Kendell said? Take my time and focus... Right I can do that no problem what so ever. X-elarate charger activate!'' She shouted clicking the button on the charger and slipping it into her dagger, however her mind wandered a little bit as she thought about Ivan. How was he doing  at work? Was Chase focusing or was he too busy talking to Kaylee? Was Koda trying to eat all the bronto burgers again? As her focus slipped, so did her control, the power started spiraling wildly out of control and instead of giving her the speed of a ninja, she started sparking and her energy started being sapped and drained.

''And here are your orders ladies, two large bronto burgers and two sides of small fries, please enjoy your meal'' Ivan said as he placed the tables order in front of the mother and daughter who sat at the table, he smiled and walked back to the counter. ''So how do you think Kendell and Ella are doing? I heard they were working on a new charger for Ella that combines the power from both the bronze and gold energems'' Ivan asked as he placed his note pad down on the counter and grabbed the glass of water that Riley passed him.
