- Sally, let's go outside and play." - called out friend brown-haired, widely he was smiling. It was as if the concussion and the subsequent loss of memory had never happened.

Although blue-haired and behaved a bit not so, as usually, but to see his happy, was on truly pleased. But there was one problem... Emily.

As the boys ran out into the street, chasing each other, he noticed a familiar girl's figure with a long braid watching them from behind the wall of the house. Though there were no tears in her gray eyes, the emptiness in them spoke for itself.

- Hey, what are you stopping for? - Fisher looked in the same direction as his friend. Emily was gone, but he saw her. Her pale cheeks flushed again, and her heart ached. His hand went to his chest, but the pain didn't go away. - Again she...

- It's Emily. She's an orphan and lives with us. We found her unconscious in the yard in the middle of the night. She, too, has lost her memory and therefore knows nothing about herself. But we took her in. - Larry hastily "made up" the story of her friend, slightly misrepresenting some points, deciding not to tell Sal about some of its features, such as the split personality and abilities.

— She's so sad and she looks lonely... All this time she hasn't even come near us, and that reaction of hers.  - Sally said thoughtfully, then turned to his friend with an embarrassed smile. - It's just ... she was so upset when she found out I'd lost my memory.

- "And not just' friends.' — flashed in his head of brown hair and he clenched his fists.

In the shower the guy berated himself for having allowed to invade the mind of one not very good thoughts. Like Sally, before he lost his memory, he liked Emily very much, and the moment Fisher didn't recognize him, he thought for a moment that he had a much better chance with her, but the next second he swept the thought away. He valued his friend very much and wanted to help him, as he did now. And the fact that they both like the same girl, as they admitted to each other in the exam, should not interfere with their friendship.

— Yeah. Emily is very shy, but loyal. We were very ... very close friends. Practically a family. So ... it's really hard for her right now. But don't worry. I'm sure it'll be all right. - smiled the dark brown, and pushed her friend in the shoulder, ran forward, laughing loudly.

A few moments Sally stared in the direction where stood his "friend", but decided to talk to her later, towards evening, ran after brown, whose long shoulder-length hair waving.

-"I think mom's right. When you hurry, you make people laugh.

Evening

"Hey, you...  I mean, Larry " - Sally said uncertainly to the brown-haired man. The boys lay on their backs, hands behind their heads, staring up at the star-spangled night sky.

- Yes? -   the long-haired man turned to him.

- "I'm sorry I haven't remembered."

"Come on. What are you apologizing for? -  Larry asked, standing up. Fisher was about to reply when footsteps sounded behind them and both boys turned at the same time.

"Miss Lisa told me to bring you dinner." - Emily said softly, almost in a whisper, tilting her head sharply and holding the basket of food out in front of her. Her hands were trembling, the object could fall out of them at any moment, or even slip out due to the fact that her palms were sweating violently.

"Don't look him in the eye, Emily! Don't look! As long as I don't see that look, my heart doesn't hurt so much! Please, just take the food! Just take it! - she pleaded inwardly, but when she felt his gaze on her, she raised her head, meeting his blue eyes nose to nose.

— I think I'll go." - Larry's voice drifted away, and she knew they were alone.

She wanted to close her eyes, hide them behind her hair, turn and run, anything to avoid seeing his eyes again, the fact that he didn't remember her. Not remembers, that between them was, that they survived together, and as long are familiar. That he knew nothing more about her, that he did not remember what he had said, what promises he had made.

At first it seemed to her that the first time they met at the first stage of the exam. Truly a fateful meeting. They have passed many tests and no less fun adventures. We visited his house, then the Sky arena, until we finally arrived here at Larry's house. And he could forget it so easily? One blow to the head?! She refused to believe it!

Lost in her thoughts, she didn't notice that he grabbed her by the shoulders and pulled her onto her back, hovering over her. The fall was soft because of the grass. The full moon lit him up, giving his hair a silvery color and his skin a milky hue.

It's like he's bathed in moonlight... how lovely... he's just beautiful.  - she thought.

- "Um... Well... Yeah... I lost my memory." -   he began hesitantly, bending so low that his tousled fringe tickled her forehead, looking straight into her gray eyes. — But I... uh... Like... I like You very much! — he blurted, blushing, but still speaking haltingly. — I mean, well ... I think it's the same as before! So... Er... Well ... Thank You! Thank you, that you there is and now with me near! Well! I'll try my best to remember everything!

She shivered, her pupils slowly narrowing to tiny dots.

— "Total recall? You and "remember"?

"I want to forget it! I want to erase my past! Everything!  - Sally's sobbing words, in a trembling, pain-filled voice, echoed through her head.

"Emily?" -  timidly he called and she sat up on her elbows, looking carefully at her. A smile appeared on her lips.

- Don't be in such a hurry. We can always make new memories. Precisely!

I'm sorry, Sally. I really hate lying and I don't want to do this, but... It's for your own good! My happiness is not worth your suffering! Rachel was right when she said I couldn't be selfish... "lying for good," that's what you called It, right?

He stared at her for a few seconds, blinking, and then, still with the same flush on his cheeks, he smiled, closing his eyes, letting the pinkish scars on his face smooth out, almost merging with the white skin.

"You're right.

— I think it's best for Sally." - Emily thought, closing her eyes and leaning closer to him. His face contorted with shock and intense embarrassment as she kissed his cheek, then pulled away.

— You loved it when I did that. On luck. - she smiled, blushing a little too.

But why does it still hurt? I'm... doing the right thing, right? Yes...?

— Thank You. -  and confused, but still just as bright and sincere smile in response.

— *sigh*  Although it doesn't look like me.

"Hey, Sally, are you asleep yet?" - Larry shook his friend's shoulder as he got into bed beside him. The blue-haired man was fast asleep, smiling in his sleep and muttering.

"Passed out like a lightbulb.../so fast..." - Larry and Emily commented at the same time.

Sally turned abruptly on his side toward the girl, blushing and smiling broadly, hugging the pillow over which the blue curls were scattered.

- I told you, I won't eat any more, - he said blissfully, stretching his arms out in front of him and wrapping his arms around the redhead's waist, pulling her to him with a jerk, smiling from ear to ear. Emily could have sworn she could see hearts and an aura of bliss flying from him.

"He dreams of sweets." - she said quietly, her eyes narrowing as she studied his sleeping face. She still couldn't decide if she'd done the right thing by lying to him. The girl wanted him to get his memories back, but... to see him again the pain was too unbearable.

"I'm sure Larry thinks the same."

— From some dreams already in Heaven.. - muttered brown-haired, falling into a drop. — Even I do not look like that when I dream "Semantic Falsification»...

- I think it's better when he dreams of sweets. Yes... that's much better.
