Stalkers

The rest of the day passed by with the usual Ryder and me talking about random things while Taylor's sitting there texting her new boyfriend.

Jake was pretty blank for the day- he had that aura that told nobody to talk to him today. Mr. Player on the other hand had his arm draped around a new girl every period.

Every time he kissed another girl, I felt a twang of hurt, but I pushed it away.

What was worse was that every time I would dare sneak a glance at the idiot- he would catch me looking and sneer at me.

Zach noticed my mood and immediately knew why. Every time The Idiot tried to talk to Zach, my brother would instantly turn red of fury and his eyes that matched with mine would glint with rage.

After my dad, he was so protective of me, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

Ryder was sticking to me like 2 peas in a pod.

Was I complaining though? Absolutely not.

Throughout the day, I couldn't help but feel that I was being watched.

You know that creepy feeling when the door is open a crack, and you feel like someone is staring at you?

Yeah, that's me- except multiply the scariness by a gazillion.

When I got home, everybody but Jake came with us.

I told them that I was going to go change and I went upstairs.

I finished changing into a pair of ripped jeans with a black tank top paired with a red flannel cardigan.

I was about to walk out of my room when I saw a glint of metallic paper.

I walked over to it and picked it up. It was an envelope that was silver. It had "Midnight" written on the top in cursive with bronze ink.

Obviously I opened it.

" Dear my beautiful Midnight,

Don't be afraid my love. I have been watching you for a while now. I have written this to tell you that I'll be coming to take what is rightfully mine. Nobody can stop me.

PS If you tell anyone about this letter, you'll regret it."

A hand clamped over my shoulder.

I stood shock still for a millisecond before releasing a bloodcurdling scream.
