Chapter 10

I was wearing a scoop back cutout skater dress with cage detail and apricot sky high platform stiletto heels. Jade didn't tell anything if it was a formal party however I decided to wear smart-casual to be on the safe side. We met Luke and Michael in-front of our hotel. He looked attractive, he was wearing a black skinny jeans and a Cobain shirt. There was a cab parked across the street and he offered his hand for me to take it. I gladly took it and started walking hand in hand to the cab. ''You look very nice.'' whispered in my ear and I felt my cheeks red like chili peppers. ''You look fine yourself.'' I smiled, complimenting him.

The drive wasn't that long but I felt awkward because no one said a word. I looked outside the window and once in a while look at Luke. When he smiles, butterflies will start growing even though in my past I never thought about these things. When we arrived and entered the house where the party was, everyone was talking with each other with a glass of drink in their hands. ''Want a drink?'' Luke came from behind me, grabbing my waist to his. ''Sure.'' He took my hand and went to the bar. I was feeling so out of place; when Luke gave me a shot of vodka I drank it all at once. My throat was hurting but at that moment I didn't care. ''Wow girl. Calm down.'' I laughed and tapped him playfully on his chest. ''Don't worry.''

A guy and a woman came talking to Luke and I found the opportunity to take another shot. ''Who is this?'' Asked the guy referring to me. I swallowed my own spit and smiled, ''Trouble.'' I responded laughing. The woman laughed, ''She's funny.''

''My friend, Ava.'' Luke said to them. ''Nice to meet you.'' When they left, Luke told me that the guy produced music and the woman, Ellie, was his wife. ''Let's go dancing!'' I shouted over the music. I took his hand and started jamming to the song. ''I don't dance'' Luke shouted in my ear. ''Who cares'' I shouted back. ''Are you drunk?'' He asked. ''Naahh.'' I replied smiling.

After a bit enjoying ourselves dancing, Luke went over to his band and I continued dancing with Jade. We drunk a few other shots, I felt a little bit dizzy but then again I was alright. I spotted Luke from the distance, with a bottle of whiskey in his hand. I went up to him, ''Want to go for a walk?'' He looked at me from the bottom to the top and shrugged. We started walking slowly in the backyard, it was enormous and lights were on everywhere. ''You're drunk?'' I asked him observing the way he was moving and walking. ''Not really, just tired.''

''By the way, I like your Cobain shirt.''

''Thank you, I text the guys telling them we're leaving. Okay?'' And I nodded. We were walking back to the hotel, it wasn't that far but we took the short way. Tomorrow, Jade and I are leaving from the hotel so we have to pack our things in the morning. I broke the silent and decided to talk, even if it's non-sense. ''You know the song living on a prayer?''

''Hm, why?'' He stopped and faced me. 'I like it.'' I laughed thinking I'm making myself look stupid in-front of him. But then he laughed along with me and continued walking.

I asked Luke to sleep over at my room and he said yes. I thought Jade would stay at Michael's room tonight anyways. We were both in the bed, feeling cozy with each other's body. I looked from the corner of my eye and saw his eyes were closed. I think he felt me looking at him because he opened his eyes. ''What?'' A smile forming on his sleepy face. I didn't know what came over me but I saw him peacefully laying there and I kissed him. The lip ring was cold against my lips but his lips were soft. ''I stay, even though you leave one way or another.'' I whispered. That sentence meant so much for me and had a lot of meaning. Maybe he won't understand but maybe he will. I felt happy with him but I know that one day he has to leave to continue his career. However, how long he stays; I will be here waiting for him. We were holding each other and heard him snoring a bit and we fell asleep like that.
