Unexpected Love?

Chapter 10

*Roman's P.O.V*
I slowly opened my eyes and saw Virgil's adorable face, he looks so relaxed when he sleeps. I lightly kissed his forehead and closed my eyes, planning on falling back asleep.
"Agh!" I tensed as I sat up slowly and held my shoulder, trying not to wake up Virgil. But I soon felt a small movement next to me.
"Mm, Ro?" Virgil questioned as he looked up at me, "Are you okay?"
"Y-yeah. I'm alright Virg- ow!" It wasn't just my shoulder that was hurting me now, my head was throbbing. What's wrong with me?
"Don't hide it, Ro. I can't help you if you do that." He sat up with me, giving me a gentle hug.
"Your weak..." A voice said, "He knows you can't handle it... you'll never be able to protect him..."
*Virgil's P.O.V*
"Roman?" I repeated, "Are you in there?"
"Huh? Oh, yeah." He told me, wrapping his arms around me.
"Do you want me to get Logan?"
"Kind of, but I don't want to be alone, I just..." His voice drifted off.
"R-Roman? Come on, stop messing with me. Tell me what's wrong." I pushed away a bit, holding his hand. He stayed silent for a bit, he was starting to scare me.
"Can you g-get me some water, p-please?" He finally spoke.
"Sure, but I thought you didn't wanna be alone." I paused, "Oh, nevermind." I said, realizing there was some water behind me. I handed it to Roman and made sure he didn't hurt his shoulder.
"Thanks." He responded, handing me the water, "Ugh, I feel like crap."
"Pff, welcome to my life Princy. I constantly feel like crap."
"First of all, your amazing, don't call yourself crap. Second, I meant physically, like my head and my shoulder."
(Authors Note: I started humming 'Head, shoulders, knees and toes' after a wrote that, I just felt like you should know. Okay, back to the story.)
"Do you need anything else? I can get some advil or something."
"Um, sure." Roman said hesitantly.
"Okay, I'll be right back, love you."
"Love you more." He told me as I left the room.
*Roman's P.O.V*
I was alone now, in the dark... this isn't fun.
"He's not coming back y'know..." the voice told me, "Virgil's just dealing with you... he doesn't care..."
No, that's not true! Virgil loves me, I love him! I suddenly felt warm tears that I didn't know I was holding back. As more tears continued to trail down my cheeks, the door opened and I saw Virgil.
"Ro, I'm back-" He stopped once I looked over at him.
"Hey Virge." I said quietly, trying to wipe the tears away.
"H-hey, what's wrong?" He asked as he sat on the edge of the bed, handing me some advil and water. I took it quickly before answering his question.
"I-I just, um... I've been having weird... thoughts lately."
"W-what kind of thoughts?..." He asked hesitantly, I didn't answer. "Roman? Ro, p-please say something, anything?"
"I love you..." I whispered, holding his hand.
"I love you too, princey." He sighed, "But you need to tell me what's going on."
I made a fake pouty face but I don't think it worked. Virgil kept giving me the stern, 'I-know-your-hiding-something' look. I took a deep breath and said,
"Can you promise not to tell the others?"
"As long as it doesn't get out of hand, it stays between us."
"Okay," I paused, "Ever since I fought Deceit, I've been hearing this awful voice in my head. I-It's been telling me that..." My voice died off before I sighed and continued, "It tells me that your pitying me, no one cares, I'm weak... and any other thought I had before the video we made about taking the right path..." I started to tear up again.
"Roman..." Virgil began to cry too as he gave me a warm hug, "None of that is true, you know we all care. You know that your brave and strong and you know none of those thoughts are true!... Right?" His sentence ending as a whisper.
"I... I know." I told him, "I think I'm just too tired."
"Heh, yeah. Your really emotional when your tired." Virgil chuckled as I swiped a tear from his cheek.
"Hey, I told you that in confidence!" I teased. We both laughed for a bit until Virge got up and got back into the bed. Once he did, we cuddled for a while and decided to watch 'Aladdin.'
*Patton's P.O.V (Like, half an hour later)*
"We should take more time for this." I told Logan as we walked.
"What do you mean?" He asked.
"Well, I think you worry a little too much sometimes. You overwork yourself while the rest of us are just relaxing, it's not very fair."
"Hm, I get where you're coming from but, work is important too and..." I gave him puppy-dog eyes as he thought for a minute, "Oh, who am I kidding? Patton, your way more important, you always have been."
"Aww, Logie!" I hugged him tightly as he wrapped his arms around me. I suddenly felt him pick me up and spin me around.
"Logan!" I giggled. He smiled back at me and set me back down, bringing me in for a hug. We let go after a bit and held hands, continuing to walk back toward the Mind Palace.
"I love you, Pat."
"I love you too, Lo."
As we came back inside, we heard Roman and Virgil... singing? Oh my gosh! Are they singing a duet? That's so cute!
*Roman's P.O.V*
Virgil and I started singing along to the movie, I sang Aladdin's part, (I mean I am a prince).
"A whole new world, a new fantastic point of view. No one to tell us 'no' or where to go, or say we're only dreaming."
Then Virgil sang his part,
"A whole new world, a dazzling place I never knew. But when I'm way up here, it's crystal clear that now I'm in a whole new world with you."
"Now I'm in a whole new world with you."
"Unbelievable sights, indescribable feeling. Soaring, tumbling, freewheeling through and endless diamond sky."
As we continued singing, I could only think about how magical this truly was.
*Logan's P.O.V*
Patton stayed quiet as he tried recording Roman and Virgil's voices. I chuckled quietly as Remi walked in looking confused.
"Um... what's going on?" He whisper-yelled.
"Roman and Virgil are singing together and Pattons heart might metaphorically melt if he doesn't record it." I whispered back.
"Oh, okay. I'm gonna go see Pecan Pie, if you know what I mean." He winked before going back down the hallway to Picani's room.
"I think I know but... I'm not gonna question it."
