"Dude, what time is it?" I asked, shaking my leg up and down as I handed him the bottle of beer that I just took a big gulp from.

"Almost four. Why do you keep asking?" Gaten replied.

"I have to get going. Can you run me back to the school?" I said, taking a last drag of my cigarette.

"Why do you need to go back the school?" Noah asked.

"Tutoring." I replied, putting my leather jacket back on.

"Wait. With who?" Noah stood up with me. I glanced at him, annoyed.

"Millie." I stepped over a headstone. He stopped talking and I just rolled my eyes.

"She's still tutoring you? I thought she broke it off." Caleb laughed, following Gaten, Noah, and me.

"No." I lied.

'Not about to let them find out that I begged her to tutor me again.'

I shook my head and took off jogging out of the cemetery to Gaten's car.

"Really? She didn't break it off? You just didn't go for two days? And she was fine with it?" Caleb asked, getting in the back seat with Noah as I got in the passengers seat.

"Yes." I replied.

"She is so Christian." Caleb laughed.

"Or, she just couldn't stay away from me." I smirked, chuckling.

"That's totally the reason, Finnlard." Gaten cut in.

"I wouldn't doubt it." I replied. "Now, drive!" I shouted.

I slammed the car door shut then ran to the entrance of the Library.

"See you, Finnlard!" Gaten shouted from the car. I just waved my hand, then threw open the building door and ran in.

I looked around the library, not seeing anyone in sight as I continued to jog through the shelves to the back.

I turned the last corner and saw Millie sitting at the table with her books scattered across the top. She was drinking orange juice and was holding a book in the other hand.

I slid into the seat across from her and made her jump. She looked up at me. "You scared me." She said.

"Sorry." I mumbled, then threw my backpack on the table.

"One minute to spare." She said, closing the book and setting in her bag. "I am shocked."

I just shrugged and unzipped my bag, then let all my work fall out. I sighed, seeing all the papers that I have yet to work on and finish.

"History is next?" She asked, sitting up and setting her juice down.

"I guess." I replied with a shrug. She grabbed my book and started flipping though pages as I sat and waited for her to say something.
