Guardians

After a few minutes, Drift finally let go of Midna after nuzzling her a few times and Nightstrike getting in on the cuddling. Midna wasn't used to hugs and had only received hugs and cuddles from Nightstrike. Optimus said, "It'll be best to have you assigned a guardian soon, Midna." Midna nodded and Nightstrike barked twice.

4 hours later

Everyone was starting to head home after a long day of fun. Optimus had informed everyone that he'll have a guardian for Midna tomorrow. Optimus said, "Midna, may I speak with you?" Midna looked to where she heard Optimus's voice and said, "Of course, Mr. Prime." Optimus said, "You may simply call me Optimus, Midna." Midna nodded in understanding and Nightstrike led Midna to the elevator.

Optimus and Midna took the elevator to the top of the base. Optimus had carefully picked up Midna and Nightstrike. He carried them to a rock that was near his level. He carefully put them down on the rock. Midna treaded carefully since she now stood on unfamiliar ground. Nightstrike made sure that she wasn't near the edge. Midna carefully sat down on the rock. Midna asked, "What do you need to speak with me about, Optimus?" Optimus replied with, "Your guardian, Midna."

Midna asked, "Didn't you said that you'll assign me my guardian tomorrow, Optimus?" Optimus said, "I simply wished to know who you would wish to be your guardian, Midna." Midna said, "Oh, that makes sense, Optimus." Midna silently thought about all the bots. She knew that Bumblebee was Raf's guardian, Acree was Jack's, and Bulkhead was Miko's. That left Ratchet, Ultra Magnus, Optimus, Smokescreen, and Drift. She figured that Optimus, Ratchet, and Ultra Magnus would be too busy to be her guardian. Which left Smokescreen and Drift.

Midna had grew fond of Drift and admired him. Drift being her guardian would be like a dream for her. She wasn't sure who was the bot that she meet in the forest at first. Nightstrike managed to get a look at the bot then right before they left. Nightstrike had told Midna earlier in the day that Drift seemed to be the bot that they meet in the forest.

Midna said, "I think that Drift would be a good guardian for me, Optimus. I do remember encountering a bot in the forest and Nightstrike managed to see the bot before he left. She told me through code that it is most likely Drift that we had met in the forest the day before we got kidnapped by the Decepticons, Optimus." Optimus said, "That is understandable, Midna." There was silence as Optimus was looking at Nightstrike. Optimus said, "This might be a strange question, but have you encountered a minicon, Midna?"

Midna tilted her head as she pretends to not know what Optimus is talking about. She doesn't know if she could trust Team Prime just yet. Optimus said, "You can trust us, Midna." Midna started messing with her fingers. She wasn't sure if she could truly trust the Autobots. Midna said, "If I tell you, but could you keep the secret from the others, please? I don't know if we could trust you all entirely just yet, sir..." Optimus smiled slightly and said, "If you are comfortable with that, then I shall keep your secret, Midna."

Midna smiles brightly and said, "Nightstrike, can you transform please?" Nightstrike barked twice and sniffed around. Nightstrike went ahead and transformed. Optimus was surprised that she appeared to be a mix rather than a minicon. Nightstrike said, "Hello as you know my name is Nightstrike. I already know everyone's names, Optimus Prime sir!" Midna smirked and said, "Nightstrike has an Autobot necklace that I made for her cause she wants to be an Autobot so~ badly~, Optimus."

Nightstrike quickly panicked and said, "Shush it!!" Midna said, "No!" while smirking. Nightstrike whisper-yelled, "EEP!"
