(1) TFP- Blind

EARTHQUAKE!!

Optimus was about to speak when suddenly an earthquake occurred. The earthquake shook the whole base. Rocks started crumbling from above. This earthquake wasn't normal since it was too powerful to be normal. Optimus quickly grabbed Nightstrike and Midna. He ran to the elevator and managed to get back into the base safely. Nightstrike had transformed back into her wolf hybrid form before any of the bots saw her.

Optimus carefully set Nightstrike and Midna in the human area. Optimus ordered Drift to watch the duo in case the base collapsed in the human area. The human area of the base didn't have the strongest roof over it and has a strong chance of collapsing. Optimus went to Ratchet to investigate the abnormal earthquake. Ratchet contacted the kids and made sure that they were safe and sound. Luckily, the Jack and Miko were perfectly okay, but there was no word from Raf. Raf didn't answer his phone which wasn't his usual behavior. Ratchet tried tracking his phone, but couldn't find a signal. Optimus had ordered Bumblebee, Bulkhead, and Acree to search the last known location of Raf.

Few hours later

The earthquake finally stopped after 2 hours. The bots couldn't find Raf anywhere. They were worried that Raf might have gotten captured by the Decepticons. It had been a few days since Raf disappeared.

Midna was very worried about Raf. Midna looked at Nightstrike and then had an idea. She went to Drift with Nightstrike's help. Midna said, "Drift, I know how to find Raf!" All the bots heard what Midna said and all looked at her. Drift said, "How, Midna?" Midna smiled brightly and Drift blushed blue slightly. Midna simply said, "Nightstrike."

Optimus walked over to Midna, Drift, and Nightstrike. He said, while pretending not to know about the fact that Nightstrike is a minicon mix, "How can Nightstrike help us find Rafael, Midna?" Midna said, "Nightstrike can use her strong sense of smell to track and hunt down Raf, Optimus!" Optimus then said, "Alright then. We'll head back to where Rafael's signal with Nightstrike and Midna. Nightstrike will hunt down Rafael's scent."

Bumblebee, Acree, Bulkhead, Optimus, Midna, and Nightstrike headed to the location where Raf's signal was last seen. Midna and Nightstrike rode with Optimus. Once they reached the location, they all parked. Midna and Nightstrike got out and knew that the bots couldn't transform just yet. Midna said, "Nightstrike, track and find." Nightstrike's ears twitched when Midna gave the command.

She started sniffing around the ground. She suddenly peaked her head up and sniffed the air to the right of her. Nightstrike stood on Midna's right side and suddenly barked 3 times. Midna said, "Go ahead, Nightstrike." Nightstrike barked twice and started running. Midna followed closely and so did the bots in their alt mode. The bots kept as close as they can to Midna. Nightstrike suddenly turned left and was heading straight for the forest.

The bots found a dirt road to take and took it to keep by Midna and Nightstrike. Once they made it to a clearing in the forest that was away from any nearby humans, the bots transformed. Nightstrike halted to a sudden stop and sniffed the air. She treaded carefully forward and started sniffing a small pile of rocks in front of her. She started to circle the rock pile, but the bots didn't know if this is a normal behavior of dogs.

Optimus knew otherwise. He knew that Nightstrike was a minicon mix and her behavior seemed strange for a minicon. Optimus wasn't sure if it was a normal behavior for a minicon mix since he never met one before he met Nightstrike. Midna suddenly pulled on the leash as she knew this behavior was odd for Nightstrike. Nightstrike stopped circling the rock pile, but started barking at it. Midna looked behind her since she remembered the bots running behind her.

She said, "Raf must be under the rock pile. Nightstrike wouldn't circle anything unless I'm on it or she found something or someone." Bulkhead said, "The rock pile doesn't look that big..." Midna said, "The small rock pile could be covering a hole or tunnel, Bulkhead." Acree said, "She has a good point, Bulkhead." Bumblebee got to the rock pile and carefully moved the rocks. A small hole was revealed once all the rocks were moved. The hole was too small for any of the bots to fit. Nightstrike nuzzled the hole with her snout.

Optimus said, "How could we check if Rafael is inside the hole, Midna?" Midna said, "Nightstrike could check. I could tell her how many times to bark if she sees Raf, when she doesn't see Raf, and if she sees something or someone else, Optimus." Optimus nodded in understanding. Midna looked to Nightstrike and said, "Nightstrike, 2 barks if you see Raf, 1 if you don't, and 3 if you see something or someone else. Okay?" Nightstrike barked twice while wagging her tail. Nightstrike got mostly in the hole when she barked.
