Side Scenario - Saya Faylan

Saya POV

"I never thought when I was first hired here I never expected to have such welcoming children. They were defensive, but they showed me their love and gratitude when I took care of them. It was like Heaven for us."

Man: I found these three kids in the slums. Can you take care of him? This is the closest orphanage we can find.

You: I'll be happy to take care of them.

As soon as the man leaves, three children were at the living room, two children were asleep, while the eldest, (Y/N) was taking watch. You get closer to them.

Rei: Get away! Don't touch them!

You: Rei, I see that you're defensive because you're the eldest, I admire that, but isn't it bad for the two to be sleeping at the floor? They will get sick. I'll bring them to a warm room, with matresses and blankets. Sweetie, if you just-

Rei: No! I can't let you touch them!

You: Alright. I'll do as you ask. But I'll bring some pillows and blankets for them. You don't want them to get sick y'know.

Rei: A-alright. Just because I don't want them getting sick.

"A few weeks later, we were out getting apples and berries outside, I actually got lost and went deep inside the forest. The two siblings opened up but he wasn't opening up yet. Nick, Claire and I were getting and tasting apples and other delicacies while Rei still had a gloomy look. That is when..."

Claire: Brother look! The tasty fruits!

Nick: Yeah Big bro! Check these out! So tasty!

Rei: Leave me outta your picnic. I need to find a way to get back to the orphanage cuz Sister dragged us deep in the forest.

You: Now now, let's not be violent. How about you try some before me and you find a way out?

"I got some food to make Rei try some. He refuses but I stuffed some fruits in him. He tried to talk back, but his eyes were shining with stars egardless of his words...I hug him tightly and for a while he hugs back. He was a very problematic boy, he told me that when I was in my interviews, he was listening in if I could upgrade my paycheck. For several days he went missing, then came back with his clothes dirty. I asked him why and he just stormed in the house putting some money on the table...Now I know why. He cares alot about us. Even if he doesn't show it, he cares deeply for us. We were like a family. For lots of years, I took care of them even if other people want to take my shifts, I couldn't bring myself to do it. I took care of them until they decided to enroll in Signal and become Huntsmen and Huntress."

Rei : So....Sister....I guess is this is goodbye...

I hug him tightly...

You: Don't say that....We'll meet again someday...

Rei: Thanks...

Jake: We'll meet again Sister Faylan.

Claire: Buh-Bye Sister! (Waves)

We group hug then...they walk off for Signal...I tear up a bit when I see them leave.

You: Someday....

Ozpin: I see that is why you enrolled here...but you do know this is not a babysitting place right? You must know how to fight.

You: Oh please Professor, I can fight. I've known stories about you.

Ozpin: I afraid I don't follow.

You: Well, considering the fact I know how to use magic.

Ozpin: How?

He stands up, gripping his cane....

You: From her, but I escaped her wrath and...you know the rest.

Ozpin: I see.....well....I'll make you a weapon and let you join. Just don't let them see you use magic.

You: Thank you Professor.
