It's been a week since i broke up with jack, he still texts me and calls me but i just ignore it. I have started texting Zach again and i think all the feelings i had for him three years ago are starting to come back...

When are you in Australia next?

Well we aren't coming back to Australia for a concert but I'm

coming back for a few days because a couple of my friends 

from texas are in Australia and we have a week without concerts

Why?

Well, i was thinking maybe we could do something?

I am staying in an Air BnB cause all the motels and hotels in 

the area are booked but it's in a place called Turramurra

Wait, really?

Yeah, why?

I live in Turramurra and my neighbours have an air BnB

We will be right next to each other!

Wow i didn't think I'd be this excited to see you ever again

I told Sophie that Zach was coming back to Australia for a few days and that i was really excited. At first, she was confused because i forgot to explain that we had been texting almost non stop since i broke up with Jack, but then i told her and everything was all good.

~the next day~

My alarm went off at 7, i got up and went into the bathroom and splashed water on my face to wake myself up a bit. I then went downstairs and made breakfast. After i ate my breakfast, i went back up to my room and picked out my outfit.

I put on a black spaghetti strap crop top and a black and white plaid skirt with my limited edition converse.

I did some simple makeup quickly before grabbing my keys and wallet and heading outside.

"Where are you going?" i turned around and saw my dad

"Oh shoot, i forgot to tell you, I'm going to pick Zach up from the airport because he is staying in the neighbours Air BnB"

"Oh ok, just don't be too long"

"ok, i won't," i said as i got in the car.

~time skip to airport~

I got to the airport at 9:05, parked and walked into the waiting area thing.

There were no seats so i just leant against a pole and went on my phone.

When the first people came out, i put my phone in my pocket and waited excitedly for Zach.

I saw Zach walk out and walked towards him. When he saw me a massive grin appeared on his face matching the one i had.

When i got to him he embraced me into a hug and i didn't hesitate to hug back.

"You look gorgeous" he whispered in my ear

I could feel my cheeks burning up and butterflies in my stomach.

"Thankyou"

"Oh shoot! did i say that out loud?"

"Yes," i giggled "you don't look too bad yourself"

He smiled and then we walked back to the car.

He put his suitcase in the boot and then jumped in the front seat. I sat next to him in the driver's seat and turned on the engine.

He looked over at me and smiled.

Why did i get butterflies every time he smiled?

"Umm...just a quick question... Do you still like jack?" he asked awkwardly awaiting my answer

"No," i said bluntly

"Oh ok"

"Why?"

"Well umm... i don't know... i was just wondering"

"...ok"

We spent the next five minutes in silence. I could tell something was bothering Zach because his eyebrows were furrowed.

"What's wrong?" i asked, concern in my voice

"A-at the concert you said you thought you might still have feelings for me a-and i was just wondering if they were still there?"

Oh no. the one question i really didn't want him to ask.

"W-well, i don't know, i-i think something might be there because, if I'm being honest, i don't think i ever really stopped liking you it's just the feelings weren't as strong and then when i saw you at the concert, everything sorta came rushing back."

"Well, if I'm being honest i never stopped liking you either, in fact, the feelings only got stronger because i missed you so much and i haven't dated anyone since you"

"R-really?"

"Yeah"

We spent the rest of the drive in silence thinking about what had happened. I took one hand off the steering wheel and held Zach's hand. He looked down at our hands and back up at me, his cheeks turning a darker red.

We got to the house and said goodbye before giving each other a hug. He went to the Air BnB and i went into my house. When i got up to my room i sat on my bed thinking about what had just happened and looked out my window for a bit staring into space. I realised that my window lined up perfectly with the window of Zach's room.

I went downstairs to grab some food and then went back up to my room.
