Today's our first day back at Ridgeville High. I wasn't really looking forward to another year seeing Jae and dealing with his shit. Considering I caught him cheating on me last year with Willow fucking Meyers at his birthday party in his house. He told me it wasn't what it looked like but she was on her knees with his jeans at his ankles. After that day I made a promise to never let another guy get close to me ever again. I loved Jae with every inch of me. Things got hard dealing with the break-up and I gained a few pounds from depression. He even took my virginity, but let's just say he was a very well known guy and I was just a regular girl. Now don't get me wrong I was materialistic like the popular people were. I didn't have designer things and wasn't into makeup. I'm now a senior so I needed to level up and switch it up. During the summer I got a job, started going to the gym, and changed my entire wardrobe. Let's just say Willow thought she one upped me by sucking my ex's dick. But she's got another thing coming. I got up after my alarm rang on my phone. I got in the shower, then after a half-hour, I got out and wrapped a towel around my body. I then moved on to wash my face and brush my teeth. My phone started going off and I looked at it to see who it was. My best friend Talia was calling me via FaceTime.
"Hey," I said while brushing my teeth.
"Did you see Willow's post about her back to school party tonight?" she said applying her make up.
"Uh no, you know my life doesn't revolve around social media," I said rolling my eyes.
"Yeah whatever, are you going? wait but guess who's gonna be there," she said with a huge smirk on her face.
"If you say Jae I'm gonna scream," I replied
"Oh stop it, you know you wanna see his face when you step in that party," she said with a devious grin.
"Great point bad idea, the last thing I want is Willow grilling me because Jae can't keep his eyes off of me," I said walking into my room, "I'm getting ready. I'll call you when I'm outside your house bye." I said hanging up the phone.
I went to my closet and pulled an outfit out. I pulled out a cute outfit that wasn't too much but was enough for the first day. I moved on to my hair and makeup and did something light and natural. I applied that last little bit of touches to my makeup and grabbed my purse making sure everything I needed was in there. I headed downstairs to my kitchen where my mom was sitting at the table drinking a fresh cup of coffee and reading the morning paper.
"Ma I'm heading to school now ," I said making my way toward the front door.
"I won't be home tonight," she said looking at me.
"Um okay, I guess I'll have to order something to eat again ," I said rolling my eyes.
"I don't know why you rolling your eyes. You walk around this house and don't gotta pay a single bill. Cut the Attitude Kennedy," she said staring at me.
I shook my head and walked away grabbing my car keys out of my purse. I walked out the door and I got in and placed my bag in the passenger seat, then started my car. I pulled out the driveway and made my way to Talia's house. I got there and texted her that I was outside. She came out five minutes later and got in.
"Wow, you know your dad literally saved you right," she said admiring my new car. My dad is a man who owns a car dealership but thinks spoiling me was some type of way to earn a relationship with his daughter after walking out on me and my mom when I was five. He's trying to redeem himself and I'm not really over it. He gifted me a car for my birthday which I was super appreciative of but still doing way too much for my acceptance.
