𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐋𝐎𝐆𝐔𝐄.It was in 3rd year when Lia transferred to Hogwarts from Beauxbatons, where she was sorted into Slytherin.
It was also in her 3rd year where she met her friends; Yeji, Jaemin and Renjun.
And in the same year, during her first Defense Against the Dark Arts class in Hogwarts, she was asked by a boy from Gryffindor to be his dueling partner for the class as the professor went over the rules before everybody could start practicing on how to perform a wizard's duel. So she accepted, being charmed by his eye smile like any other 13 year old girl would, thinking he doesn't seem like the type of person to ever dare hurt a fly.
But oh how wrong she was.
So, Lia concluded that it was in 3rd year where she vowed to herself to hate the boy in red with the eye smile as she was being sent to the hospital wing to get rid of the Densaugeo hex her partner had casted on her, after avoiding the countless of spells she had casted on him. Once her teeth finally shrunk back to normal, the other three students who were also in the hospital wing (courtesy of the same dueling session) introduced themselves as Yeji, Jaemin and Renjun. Though the image of the boy- Jeno was his name, according to Renjun, and his small smirk of victory that was plastered on his stupid face was stuck in her mind long enough to rile her up and fuel her competitiveness.
Two can play it that way, was what Lia thought to herself when she saw him in the next class; Potions, effectively brewing a potion that is closer to perfection than Jeno was. He got her back, though, when he was able to score a higher mark by merely 2 points on their Divination assignment. Lia countered by being able to cast the full body-bind curse in their Charms class on Jeno, while others struggled to get the incantation right.
And so it went on over the course of the schooling years - up till their final seventh year. They were the textbook definition of the good old Gryffindor vs Slytherin rivalry; despite the fact that the feud between houses died long after the Second Wizarding War and the fall of the dark lord.
It's petty, really. But that never really registered in both of the 13 year old's minds when they began one-upping each other.
Despite the competitiveness, however, it was a blessing in disguise for members of both houses as through their efforts of constantly beating one another in classes, they're also raking up the points for the House Cup. The teachers were happy with the increased participation in class from other houses because they can't just let Lia and Jeno hog up all of the points just like that. It was a win-win situation so no one really tried to stop them and their feud.
To this day, Jaemin has always brought up to Lia that he thinks she should thank the Gryffindor instead because;
'Technically, if it wasn't for Jeno-,' Lia interrupts him by clearing her throat and Jaemin rolls his eyes at her childish antics, '-I mean 'the imbecile who shall not be named', we wouldn't have met in the hospital wing.'
'I did not ask to get a black eye and my abnormally large teeth on my first day here in Hogwarts, Jaem,' Sixth-year Lia huffed as she repeated the same response for the nth time throughout her 3-year duration in Hogwarts.
'And I did not ask to get my arms broken when I fell from my broomstick and yet you don't see me hating my broom.' Jaemin quickly said, finally having a comeback to her same response.
