Bismillah,
Here are few dua you can say during the time of rain:
1. When it starts to rain;
اللّهُمَّ صَيِّـباً نَافِع
"Oh Allah grant us beneficial rain"
(Sunan An Nisai)
2. Ask Allah for protection from the rain.
3. During intense rain;
اللّهُمَّ حَوالَيْنا وَلا عَلَيْنا
"Oh Allah ( let it rain) around us not on us"
(Sahih Bukhari) v.2 book 17, # 126
4. When the rain stops;
مُطِرْنا بِفَضْلِ اللهِ وَرَحْمَتِه
"We have received rain from Allah's mercy"
(Bukhari and Muslim)
5. Recite the Quranic verse of;
يُسَبِّحُ الرَّعْدُ بِحَمْدِهِ وَالْمَلَائِكَةُ مِنْ خِيفَتِهِ
"And thunder exalts Allah with praises of Him and the angles as well from fear of Him.
Quran 13:13
6. Call out to Allah;
The Prophet ﷺ said
"Two will not be rejected. The Duaa after the Adhan and the Duaa under the rain".
Al-Hakim (Sahih)
7. Let the rain touch your garment;
"Whilst we were with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ rain fell upon us. The Messenger then exposed part of his garment so that rain fell on his body. When we asked him why he did so, he replied "Because it has just come from the Exalted Lord"."
Sahih Muslim
A/n Assalamu alaykuim, these are all beautiful ways in which we can increase our Imam and hassant. Of course it will be a difficult task to make this become a habit, but it will be rewarding. Honestly, as long as you try to make it at least one or two a habit and after you have succeeded in that, strive for the other ones. You are doing a fantastic job. My goal is to at least have three down, and then slowly focus on the other ones in sha Allah. SubhanAllah, it's all about the intentions, as well all know Allah SWT reward us for even having the intention to do something good, and when you act on the idea you get double or triple amount of reward. So SubhanAllah theres no way we can wrong except by not attempting it and by not having the correct intention. May Allah SWT grant us the best of intention at all times, May He grant us to strive in the direction which pleases Him. And May He grant us to always be grateful. Ameen. Also, please share any new beneficial things you have learned because you are not educating yourself and them but you also receive the reward as well.( btw, this is a note to me as well).
