Chapter 5

I chuckle to myself as I see Ellie's hair all messed up and Maya's head resting on her lap. I wouldn't be surprised if they knew everything about each other, from their heads to their toes. I quietly close the door and walk downstairs. 

"Did you wake 'em?" Cameron asks as I walk in. 

"Nope." I reply. "They looked so adorable."

"Wow." Cameron chuckles. "Alright, then. Let's have breakfast."

After fifteen minutes of eating, he takes a sip of his orange juice and looks at me. 

"So." He says. 

"So." I say back and he smiles. 

"Tell me about yourself." 

"Straight to the point." I fold my arms and he shrugs. 

"I rather be on the point, than bitter around the bush." 

"That's like my best friend, Josh." I say and smile. "He's always been like that."

"I like the dude already." Cameron grins. "He's not the only dude you're friends with, right?"

"Nope. My other best friend is Simon, or Si for short, and..well..he's gay-" As I say this, Cameron chokes on his orange juice. "..Did I say something?"

"No, no," Cameron says quickly. "No, of course not. It just shocked me for some reason. I have nothing against people who are homosexual or bisexual, I love them. It just...took me by shock."

"I get that." I shrug then laugh.

"What?"

"You panicked like I was gonna murder you."

Cameron grins and shakes his head. 

"I just didn't want to offend you. You're our new guest, and well..I want you to be comfortable with all of us."

I walk back upstairs and Ellie walks out of the room, hair still messed up. She breaks into a big smile when she sees me. 

"Amber!" She shouts and hugs me. "What time did you wake up?"

"Much earlier than you." I say and she grins. "Cameron and I just finished eating breakfast."

"Oh?" She raises an eyebrow and I scoff. 

"No." I say. "I just moved in."

"And..what do you think of him?" 

"He's a nice person." 

"Has he made a move on you?"

"No.."

"No, not yet." Ellie smirks and I roll my eyes. 

"Morning, guys." Maya says as she walks out, rubbing her eyes. 

"Morning." I smile. 

We have a small talk until Cameron walks up. 

"You look like you fought with a chicken, Maya." Cameron grins. "And the chicken definitely won."

"Shut up." Maya rolls her eyes. "You look like a bear fought with you ten times and the bear won every round."

"But I'm still sexy AF." Cameron says and walks into his room. 

"More like annoying AF." Maya says, rolling her eyes. "He is so annoying."

I walk downstairs with Ellie and Maya and we walk into the kitchen. After making hot chocolates, we walk into in the living room and sit on three different couches. 

"So, Amber." Maya says and I look at her. "You got a boyfriend?"

"Nope." I say. "I used to, though."

"Oh?" Ellie raises her eyebrows and Maya laughs. "Do tell, Ambs."

"Yes, do tell." Maya giggles. 

"You guys are immature." I roll my eyes and they laugh. "Fine...his name was Tony."

"Tony Hawkins?" Ellie says and I nod. "Damn. He's hot but he acts like a dick."

"Sounds like a douchebag." Maya says and Ellie and I nod. "How long did y'all date?"

"Eight months." I reply. "Found out he was cheating after five months, and stayed with him with this illusion that he was The One, and after three months, he broke up with me."

"Bastard." Ellie spits.

"Asshole." Maya snaps. 

"Yep." I shrug. "Took me a while to get over it, but hey, I managed."

"I would've cut his dick off." Ellie says and Maya and I raise our eyebrows. "I would have. The fucking asshole."

There's a silence after this, tension in the air, and thankfully, Cameron breaks it. He's wearing a blue and red plaid shirt, and black jeans. His hair is just naturally curly and makes him look...cute. 

"Alright, girls." He says, running his hand through his hair. "I'm going out."

"Where?" Maya asks. 

"Gonna hang out with fellow members of X-Mob, May." He replies, nods at Ellie who nods back then smiles at me. "See you later, Amber."

"Bye." I smile back and his eyes stay locked with mine. 

A few more seconds past, and his chocolate brown eyes are making me melt. 

"Ok, goodbye Cam." Maya says, her voice annoyed. 

"Right, sorry." Cameron breaks the 'lock', gives me another smile then opens the door and walks out, the door closing behind him. 

"That was weird." Maya says. 

"Yes, that certainly was." Ellie grins and I roll my eyes. "What was that, Ambs?"

"Yea, straight up, Amber." Maya smiles. "If you like my bro, just say it. I'm cool with it."

"What? No, no." I say quickly. "No. He's a good guy, but...no."

"Uh huh." Ellie rolls her eyes. "Of course."

'Shut up, Ells." I whack her with the pillow. 

But I can't help but wonder...what was that?
