Chapter One
Hi, my name is Alexis Charlee Phillips, I’m 17 and I live in California. I have dirty blonde hair that’s slightly curled and bright blue sparkling eyes. I live with my 24 year old brother Logan but he doesn’t actually care about me. He always comes home drunk and just goes in his room. So I basically have to fend for myself. If you’re wondering where my parents are they died in a car crash when I was 12 I survived but they didn’t. My brother was out drinking at this point because he was 19. So yeah I’ve basically had a messed up life and it’s even worst at the fact I get bullied every day at school and the worst thing is I don’t even know why. I’m probably the most hated girl in my whole school. I can’t even walk down the corridor without somebody shouting “Slut” or “Whore” or getting hit. I only ever had one friend and her name is Maria but she moved to London and went on the X-Factor. She got 6th place but decided to stay in London. She now does gigs all around the UK. I haven’t spoken to her in about 2 years and to say the least I actually miss her. Since she went that’s when my bullying started. So yeah that’s my life. It’s basically a mess.
(A/N) So that’s what you need to know about Alexis I’m gonna start the actual story now so ENJOY!.
“SLUT get here now” I heard the voice I least wanted to hear shout from across the corridor. MARK! Mark is one of the many bully’s I have but he is the worst. I walked over slowly knowing what he was going to do to me. If I didn’t obey him I would get beat twice as hard. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I felt a sharp pain in my left arm then another in my stomach. I fell to the ground in pain when suddenly I was struck with pain everywhere else in my body. I looked around me and realised I was being kicked by literally everyone in the school. After about the 20th kick it stopped. I looked up to see everyone being dismissed by a teacher but then the teacher just left? ‘Hello injured person down here’ is what I thought to myself. God even teachers hate me. I attempted to get up but the pain was unbearable so I just lay the lifeless. I don’t know how long I was lay there put I got woken 1st by a bell guessing the lessons was over because also I started to hear loads of voices in the once quiet corridors but also by a sharp pain in my left wrist/arm. I looked down to see the word ‘SLUT’ scratched into my arm with blood pouring. I walked out of the school not wanting to be in school. I walked to the only place I know I could go without being hurt. My friend Kevin’s house. He is probably my only friend and the good thing is he doesn’t go to my school so Mark and his friends don’t know about him and they can’t turn him against me. Kevin knows everything about me including my parent’s death, my bullying at school and the fact I basically have nobody. He was like the brother I’ve always wanted. Because everyone was still at school I hopefully wouldn’t get caught. I was thinking about random things when I felt my phone vibrate indicating that I had a new message. I checked the message and it was from someone who I thought didn’t even know I existed. Maria. The text said:
‘Hey Lex do you remember me? Well anyway yanno when I auditioned for the X-Factor yeah well remember those boys I told you about? The ones who got put together and came 3rd? One Direction? Well I’m dating Harry Styles the one with the curly hair! And well I’m coming on tour with them and we will be in California in a week! IM COMING HOME! Where staying for a week then we gotta go to New York! I’m defo coming to see you so don’t have anything planned all this week or next babe missed you like crazy:Dx.’
I thought long and hard. I’m happy that Maria found love and I’m SO happy she still remembered me but why? Why did she text me now! Oh well at least she’s coming. I decided to text her back.
‘Hey Maria omg I actually thought you had forgot about mee! Congrats on the boyfriend and that you’re touring with One Direction. Oh by the way I’ve been staying at Kevin’s house because well remember my brother Logan he took it to far. Will explain more when you come. Can’t wait to see you again it’s been soooo long anyway got to go see you in a week;)!!!x’
I carried on walking constantly checking my phone for a text off her but none. I knew she had got my message because it had a little tick next to the message meaning she had got it. When I finally got to Kevin’s I told him about what had happened. He had already bandaged up my arm. I do practically live here. In his spare room because I hate my home.
Maria’s P.O.V
“Okay so I’ve texted my friend Alexis I just didn’t tell her that were going to be there tomorrow” Louis voice rang through my ears “How do we know where she is going to be though” “Well she is staying at Kevin’s house and I know where that is I think she lives there now” as I said this Niall’s head dropped. I think he fancy’s here and they haven’t even met yet aww. “Who is he I mean Kevin” said Niall his voice a tiny bit shaky. “Oh Kevin is her best friend she lives at his house because…” I stopped realizing that Alexis might not want them knowing about her past. “Oh good!” said Niall his voice back to normal. “Okay guys we best head to bed now we have to be up at about 8:00am ready for the flight.” All the boys groaned but then slowly made there was upstairs. When I finally got to the top of the stairs Harry was there. I walked closer to him but then he ran into the room we share. As I walked into our room I was shocked. The room looked beautiful. On the beige quilt was an array of red, white, light pink and dark pink rose petals. I felt Harry’s slow deep voice whisper “Look outside on the balcony”. I did what he said and walked over to the sliding doors, slid them open and was gobsmacked at the sight.
