Slateport Pokemon Contest

Luna

She had gotten to the contest super early. She even wore a new dress she had ordered. A pale blue with fluffy white fluff at the end of the skirt of her dress. She looked great with her toe peeking white heels. The well known designer made it for her with her Swablu in mind so they matched. Her Pokemon Coordinator that trained her was from the Sinnoh Region had taught her appearances were very important.

The Contest started at 1:00 Pm so she had now 3 hours. Just then May and the others barged inside out of breath and all most late. Sighing she went outside to walk for a bit, her pokemon could eat some of her special beauty Poke Block before the contest started.

3 Hours later

The Slateport Ribbon was dark green with light green edges with a gold crown. She needed to win five ribbons to get into the Pokemon Grand Festival, Vivian the MC explained. Right now she had only one so she needed this ribbon. 

For the preliminary round

"Swablu showtime !" Swablu at once when let out landed on her head as the two of them posed. It was easy since Swablu were known to land on people's heads and now it looked like she was wearing a white fluffy cotton hat. That added her pokemon's cute factor.

"All right now lets show off your Steel Wing !' She tossed a few balls high in the air, once cute sparkles showered out around them. At the end Swablu landed back on her head. "Swablu !" her pokemon chirped sweetly. With that the crowd exploded in applause. 29.3 Was her score, just a point below Drew who had the highest score.

The judges said that their performance was remarkable, cute and impressive.She had a feeling May was seeing all this was now seeing that Drew was not all talk. When Robert and his Milotic appeared she knew she had more competition. Safeguard covered the pokemon in a green glowing light.

The last one was May so she might get some comic relief. On the stage still next to the curtains the girl was frozen. When letting out her pokemon she slipped and landed on her rear. "That girl is a bit of a klutz," she commented to her Swablu who was still perched on her head. Silver Wind with a spin, it was a great idea. I'm going to try that, she thought.

24.9 was May's score, still below her's.

Drew, Robert, herself and May managed to get in the second round. As the trainers were randomly getting picked she saw May going against Drew. "That did not take long," she commented snidely. She was paired off to one of the other coordinators that were not a threat.

Roselia vs. Beautifly

Beautifly might have a huge advantage but she doubted that May would win. Gust sent Magical Leaf back but Drew had more surprises up his sleeve and some of the Magical Leaf came straight at Beautifly. Landing down Beautifly looked like it had suffered a lot of damage. The move Magical Leaf never missed its mark.

With that May lost some points. 2:16 Roselia was preparing gracefully to use Solar Beam. Right before String Shot could hit Roselia used a beautifully colored Solar Beam. With the most powerful grass attack hit and Beautifly was down. The Judges concluded a Battle Off and May lost.

A little later she could hear May being a sobbing mess. Her match was a joke all she had to do was use Sing and the two of them owned the battlefield. Robert vs. Drew

Robert won and now she was challenging him. "Use Sing and then use Solar Beam !" Once Milotic was asleep did Swablu spend her last moments gathering as much energy and shot at the water type with a grass type move. The beautiful Solar Beam cut Robert's points in half and knocked out his pokemon.

"And the winner is Luna for her second contest !" Vivian announced. She accepted her ribbon happily. "You did well Swablu," she praised her pokemon.
