The Story of Luna Lapis (Pokemon)

What May Come

"Beautifly use Silver Wind !" May ordered earning herself a 25.9 which was a laugh compared to her and Combusken's 29.7 score. They had to pass a 25 to move on so they all where safe for now. Watching the screen Contestant 22 Jessica. Sounds familiar, She thought from her spot on the seats.

"Ready or not !" Laughed the red haired Jessica in a large dress that made her think of a ball gown. Green and pink it reminded her of a Dustox which maybe this trainer had. "Wow is that even allowed ?" May asked. "That was remarkable," A judge said showing a 0 score.

Turns out she did, Dustox rose into the air and did a sparkling entrance. She saw it's Rainbow move, it was beautiful she admitted but rather than worry she polished Combusken and Espeon's Poke Balls until they were shiny and clean. Jessica got a 29.7 score she had noticed.

May,Jessica, Drew and herself would be competing. "Round two here we come," She celebrated quietly from her comfortable spot. For round two they would be battling each other and would have 5 minutes. May VS. Jessica for stage 1. "Not much of a surprise their," She had commented.

With Bug type against Bug type. When Dustox's bow tie came off something looked fishy but in the end it did not matter because Jessica and her pokemon lost. "Now it's my turn," She said pocketing the shiny little Poke Balls. Before she got up Jessica showed herself as Team Rocket and the Rainbow moves were fake so disqualified.

After those losers got blasted away did she head for the stage. "Now begin !" At once she brought out her Poke Ball. "Combusken come out !" She ordered as she let out her Fire Fighting Type pokemon who did a fiery appearance. "Roselia let's go !" Drew said doing his signature hair flip.

At once Drew's points went down. "Combusken !" Her pokemon cried ready for a battle as she kept a close eye on Drew. "Let's go Magical Leaf !" Drew ordered. "Use Heat Wave !" She countered. As the grass attack got close Combusken a heated breath and burnt the leaves to a crisp and burned Roselia. "Roselia !" The pokemon cried.

And down went Drew's points. "Use Fire Punch !" She ordered. The fiery move circled her pokemon as it collided with Roselia. It looked like they had unbalanced Drew and she wanted to keep that up. "Petal Dance !" Drew ordered, a beautiful and elegant  move that she wanted to miss. "Dodge it and use Over Heat !"

She knew that this powerful attack might affect Combusken's Special Attack but she wanted to finish this battle before some real damage was inflicted on them. Covered with heat Combusken hit Roselia making the pokemon faint. "Roselia !" Drew said in surprise.

"Nice moves Combusken," She complemented her all ways ready pokemon. "Combusken !" Her pokemon cried while doing a fighting type stance. 

Don't think we will be going easy on you May, She thought as the people cheered them on. As May and her pokemon made their entrance she said,"Take over the stage Combusken !" In a fiery tornado Combusken did it's signature fighting stance. "Use Tackle !" May ordered. Smiling she ordered,"Dodge and then use Double Kick !"

Staying still Combusken flipped when Beautifly zerod in on it and did to kicks in mid air. "Beautifly !" The pokemon cried in surprised pain. 

Combusken

"Keep it up Combusken !" Luna cried from her spot. "Use Fire Punch !" Her trainer ordered. "Beautifly use Gust !" Her opponent's trainer ordered.  The waves of Gust beat her down. "Use Mirror Move and then Slash !" Luna said as she had not yet collided into the ground. Waves of Gust hit Beautifly from above and while it was disoriented she Slashed Beautifly with the powerful move by using her claws.

"Beautifly !" It cried as she did a few mid air flips before landing down in front of Luna. "Good job Combusken, Keep it up May's points are all most down," Luna said confidently. "Combusken !" She cried looking for a real fight, The Roselia from earlier had given her a real fight not this little butterfly, She thought.

"Use String Shot !" She heard. "Use Slash !" Luna ordered. Jumping up high she let the String Shot circle her before shredding it with Slash. "How imaginative," She heard a judge remark. "Use Focus Energy and then use Flamethrower !" Focusing she jumped up to deliver a heat scorching intense fiery blow.

Bathed in the scorching hot flames Beautifly let out one last cry before fainting. "That move was as hot as ever," A judge said.  "Our time is up and the winner is Luna and her Combusken !" She heard. Doing a happy jump she then did another fighting stance.

Luna

Rose petals fluttered around them as she accepted the Fallarbor Ribbon. Soft pink and white she flashed the new ribbon to everyone.

As she left to go to the Poke Center Drew gave her a red rose and went on his merry way.
