The light engulfed the car as a loud screech can be heard. The heavy pick up truck swerved when a deer sprinted across the street. The truck swerves to avoid the deer only crash into the car.

For a split second, Jeremy put his arm around Liv in a protective manner, hoping to prevent her from experiencing too much force, not realizing that he may be the one in danger. Jer tried to hit the brakes only for the car to turn right thus causing most of the impact to land on the driver's side.

The truck then crashes into the car and causes the car to slide downhill, into the forest. The car kept rolling downhill until it crashed into a tree. The car landed on its top side and finally stopped moving

Marco couldn't feel his right shoulder and his head was pounding. He glanced over to his two friends and notices that Jer is not in the car and Liv is barely awake. Damnit, he thought. He looks around for his phone to call 911 only for the phone to be out of reach. Marco glances over at Liv to try to assess the situation but, all they can do is wait. Marco tries to keep Liv awake and call for Jer by shouting their name.

Jer absorbed the most impact out of the 4 of them. His head is bleeding. His whole right side feels numb and his right arm is starting to lose its colour. He looks around to ask for help but nothing comes out. His ears start ringing and black dots invade his vision. His chest feels heavy and it is getting harder for him to breathe. As he looked around for help, he realizes that he is not in the car. He was flung out of the car because of the sheer force of the crash. He could hear Marco screaming in the background but his eyelids are getting heavy.

Liv couldn't feel her knee. It also hurt to move her right shoulder. The front of the car is squished and putting pressure her legs. She turned her head to see Jer missing from his seat and instead outside the car on the grass. She starts to feels as though the air around her is getting thicker and it is making it harder for her to breathe. After fighting hard to breathe, she lets the darkness pull her into the abyss.

The police are quick to arrive on the scene. But not quick enough. Five men quickly break the car doors and pull Olivia and Marco out while a pair of responders try to revive Jeremy. His heart had stopped beating for a moment but they were able to bring him back Olivia is immediately rushed on to a stretcher with Jeremy following her. Marco is put on to a stretcher and is immediately assessed with a sprained ankle and a dislocated shoulder. No major injuries but he does need to be hospitalized and checked up for a concussion. Moreover, Olivia may be suffering from a concussion as blood can be seen flowing from her hairline and she is completely knocked out. Her forearm is swollen so a fracture is likely but she is lucky to come out relatively unscathed. Jeremyon the other hand, his breathing is shallow and blood is trickling down his forehead and chin. He starts to cough out blood which tells the EMT that he has some internal damage.

They are rushed into the hospital and Jeremy is the first to enter the scans. The doctors confirm that his liver is ruptured and he is suffering from too much blood loss. Four of his ribs are fractured from the force of the car throwing him out and his legs are both heavily bruised from the weight of the car.

Olivia is then rushed into the scans and her parents are relieved to hear that she is okay. She has a few injuries including mild fractures on her thigh area near her knee and a mild concussion. Marco is put under the scans and is shown to have no life-threatening injuries. He only has a dislocated shoulder and a sprained ankle.

Mason pov

I was exiting the car when mom got a call from a stranger. At first, she thought it was a scammer that was trying to trick her. But then, she picked up the phone and her face turned white. Something was wrong. Dad came over and asked her what was wrong but she just mumbled something about Jerbear and Livvy.

Dad ushered me back into the car quickly and told me to stay there while mommy grabs a few of our necessities in case we had to stay somewhere else overnight. When mommy got back into the car she said, " honey, your brother and sister are... are hurt. They were driving back when a big truck hit them, so we are going to the hospital and as soon as we know how they are we are going to drop you off at Liam's house okay?"

"Are they gonna be okaymom?" I asked worriedly. Who's gonna play with me if they are hurt.

Dad sighed before saying " I don't know son. Just pray for the best"

I nodded and we drove off to the hospital worriedly. When we arrived in the hospital, we saw Marco sitting on the hospital bed in the emergency room. The hospital was really bright but noisy. I could hear nurses rushing around and doctors talking to their patients. The rooms were separated by curtains but we couldn't find my siblings.

As we approached Marco, he had a worried look on his face. He told us that Jeremy and Olivia were in another room but he didn't know where.

"I'm really sorry Sierra. We didn't even see the truck coming. It just came out of nowhere. When the car stopped tumbling Jer was gone and Liv was already starting to lose consciousness. I called their names, but they couldn't hear me." Marco struggled to say.

"It's okay honey. It's not your fault." Mom sighed. "We are going to go look for our kids. Do you mind if Mason stays with you until we find them? I don't think it's a good idea for him to come with us right now"

Marco nodded and signaled me to sit with him. As mom and dad exited the room, I laid down next to Marco and asked, " I don't understand what's happening. "

"It'll be okay bud. Your parents will just look for Jeremy and Liv and they'll bring you to them."

Half an hour later, dad came back and led me to Jer's room. His room was right across Livvie's room so I could visit her after. Jerbear was hooked up on a bunch of monitors and had a plastic thingy on his face that I think helps him breathe. He was still asleep but dad said he could hear us if we wanted to say anything to him. So I just told him that I loved him and that he has to get better so that he could play with me.

Afterward, I visited Livvy's room. The doctor said that she would wake up soon and I was really excited about that. She wasn't hooked up to as many computers and she wasn't using the breathing equipment which was good. Her leg had a cast around it but it wasn't so bad. Although a part of her hair was shaved off because mommy said the doctor had to stitch the back of her head. She was going to be so mad about that.

I sat in Livvy's room with mom and waited for her or Jerbear to wake up.
