Natsu's POV:

My mom, dad and I went inside through the big doors of our mansion. When we stepped in I saw 3 people standing there. One person especially caught my attention.
They were all blond. The man who I assume is the father of the family had a darker blond colour than the two women.
The smaller woman who I assume is the girl my parents want me to meet was the one that caught my attention that is because, unlike her parents she wasn't smiling...

"Natsu meet the Heartfilias." my dad said.
I first shook the man's hand.
"Jude Heartfilia. Nice to meet you Natsu." the man said or should I say Jude.
"Likewise." I said.
Then I shook the hand of the older woman.
"I'm Layla Heartfilia! It's a pleasure to meet you!" she said with a bright smile.
"It's very nice to meet you too, Mrs. Heartfilia." I said trying to be kind since she seemed very kind.
"Layla is fine." she said with a big smile.
I nodded as a response and proceeded to the girl.
She didn't say anything, neither did she put out her hand to shake mine like her parents.
"I'm Natsu Dragneel, and you are?" I said as I tried to make it less awkward.
"I'm Lucy." she said without looking me in the eye.

A moment of awkward silence went through the room.

"Why don't we let the young ones talk while we go to the living hall?" my mom suggested.
"Great idea, Sylvia!" Layla said.
"Alright then. Natsu please be kind and show Lucy around the mansion." my dad said.
"Okay." I said and saw them leave the room.

We were standing there in silence for a while not knowing what to say.

"Wanna see the garden?" I said as I tried to make the atmosphere less awkward.
She just nodded as a response and followed me as I was walking in the direction of the garden.

When we reached the garden, there was a bench a bit further that we walked to.
I made a gesture at her that told her to take a seat, which she did.

"Just so we're clear, I don't wanna get married to you. No offence, but I'm not gonna marry someone I just met." I said.
She seemed shocked.
"Then why are you even here talking to me??" she asked and FINALLY looked at my face.
"Honestly, I didn't even know about this whole situation until minutes ago."
"What?? How come??" she curiously asked. I saw how her chocolate brown eyes was sparkling as she looked straight into mine.
"Well, it's kind of hard to explain, but let's say I don't live here at the mansion." I answered.
She sighed as she rolled her eyes and looked away.
I was confused. Did I say something wrong?
"What is it." I asked.
She stood up.
"Just as I thought you're just a spoiled brat like every boy with rich parents. Guys like you make me sick."
I felt how I started to heat up as my anger rose. But I stayed calm.
"And what exactly makes you say that?" I asked.
"You probably live in a mansion all alone that your parents bought for you and don't have a clue what is going on." she said.
Now I was really starting to get angry so I yelled a bit but didn't lose my temper.
"Look lady!" I said. "I don't know who you think you are but you have no right to make assumptions about me and my life!"
She looked at me a bit surprised and irritired when I said that.
"Oh so you can stand up for yourself? Well at least that's something you don't have in common with all the other spoiled brats I've met." she said as she scoffed.
"First of all Lady!: I don't live with my parents because I live alone in another town where I'm a member of a guild.
Second of all: I live there in a small house that I payed for. And every month I earn my own money in order to take care of myself. And I've been doing that since I was only 10 years old.
And three: Don't go and judge a book by it's cover, it's disrespectful!"

She didn't say anything anymore. She just sat back down on the bench and curled up her legs so that her knees were hiding her face.

We sat there in silence and then suddenly I heard sniffing sounds. I looked over to her. She was crying...!
