He was standing there in front of her, with a warm smile. He held out his hand invitingly. Did she dare take it? Yes, she did. She reached out and held it firmly. Those gray eyes of his seemed to speak into her soul, as they danced the night away in a moonlit field.
Delilah woke up with a start. That was the third time this week alone that she had dreamed of him. She had told one of her best friends about him already, and she was positive Delilah and her dream boy, "Carter" were destined to meet someday.
"You're obviously having psychic dreams!" Said her friend Grace when Delilah had told her. Grace was one of the smartest people she knew, but sometimes her words came out sounding psycho. She was pretty sure this was one of these times. "Well, the first time I dreamed of him was a few days ago and I dreamed it was the first day of school and he was a new student. School started months ago. Explain that," she challenged. Grace quickly responded by saying "Well we are starting high school next year. Maybe you'll meet him then!" and then she added dreamily, "It'll be love at first sight!" Delilah had to admit, the idea was possible, but extremely crazy. Could someone really fall in love with her at first sight. She had no special qualities. She was short, barely 5', with brown eyes and medium length brown hair. But there was a bit of hope glowing inside of her. So she kept on dreaming that her Carter would appear soon, just like in her dreams.
