"Wow..." Chu Lin gasped as she watched unidentified aircraft materialize in the skies above her one after another. There were nearly 50 of them within' moments.
"Shiu Su Lin! Come, quickly!" She said to her daughter who quickly ran across the street to her mother after looking at a dress in a store's window.
"Stay close to me, do you hear me?" Chu Lin said. Shiu Su nodded, unable to speak, as she had just realized what her mother was seeing as well.
Soon, the huge crafts hovered in place over Shanghai, beaming a curious green light down among the millions of people and buildings. They were scanning for something, Chu Lin knew. She drew her cell phone from her pocket and quick-dialed a number. "Lou, password 5 7 3 I C 3 B" She spoke into the handset.
"Access Granted. Agent Chu Lin voice recognition verified. Please hold while your call is being secured." Agent Chu listened to the automated voice and tapped her foot. "This should be quicker" She mumbled to herself and sighed.
"Yes?" The voice on the other end of the phone said in a whisper.
"Look at the sky outside!" Chu shouted with haste. A few moments later the only words audible were "Oh . . . God . . . What the. . ."
"Chu, what the hell is that? I know the United States don't have the technology to get past our radar systems with that amount of crafts. This is insane!" Mr. Lou stated angrily.
"I have a feeling that this is not the United States, OR Europa." Chu retorted.
"So... What would you say?" Lou asked, Chu could hear the fear in his voice as he gulped before his final word.
"I think it's... Extra-Terrestrial. I don't recognize any markings on the crafts at all." Chu said. There was a silence over the phone as if the phone went completely dead-- it did.
"Hello? Hello? Lou?" Chu shouted.
"Hello? Shit..." Lou said.
Chu looked up at the sky as red lasers shot from one space-craft to another, connecting in some kind of polyhedron shape. The made a perimeter surrounding all of Shanghai. She saw as cars were trying to evacuate and as they passed through the perimeter they disintegrated into tiny black ashes.
There was certainly no escape. And whatever forcefield those lasers were creating around Shanghai were surely protecting the spaceships from being harmed by any type of weapons attack.
"Quietly, and calmly... Go into your dwellings. We will be taking your roads and patrolling while we do further analysis of bodies we have confiscated from your planet. If you do not with to meet your peril, meet our requests without resistance. We will kill any infestation that is unwilling on site. We are here to see that the crimes you have committed against your Solar System be dealt with in a timely manner. Again, DO NOT RESIST." A voice boomed loudly over an intercom system that seemed to speak into one's mind rather than ride on a sound wave medium.
"We must make our way home now. Follow me Shiu." Chu said, grabbing her daughters hand and pulling her along.
Finally, reaching their home, Chu collapsed on her sofa.
"I can't believe this! Infestation?! As if we are some sort of... Fucking BUG or something?! What the hell??" Chu shouted, resting her hand on her forehead. Shiu was already in tears.
"I'm afraid, mother. What will we do?" Shiu asked, her eyes teared up to the maximum capacity of fluid before falling down her cheeks and onto her black buckled shoes.
"We stay here... We wait. See what they want. Then as soon as we figure out more... We'll decide what to do next. It's the only thing I can think to do. I'm just as scared as you are, but at least we have each other. Yes?" Chu said with a dull smile.
Shiu nodded, even though she wasn't very convinced that everything would be alright. But she had to trust her mother's word. If she couldn't trust that, what could she trust? How would she even be able to move?
