Chapter 20
Football Tournament
WJFC

One month has passed since the school festival and ever since there's this new program on TV that encourage kids from the age of 13-19 to enter a football/soccer tournament called (WJFC) World's Junior Football Competition. It's a brand new tournament that's being hosted by Fifth Sector David's parents. Anybody can enter as long as they pass the preliminaries. The tournament will be held in the USA and it starts two months from now. Have a team of at least eleven players and you're eligible to apply. Fei saw the ad for WJFC every morning when he's eating breakfast.

"Do they have to remind us of this event every morning *said Fei  annoyed. "Well it's the very first WJFC so I can understand that they would want to hype it up as much as possible "stated Sue. "I guess but it's really starting to annoy me" said Fei. "Forget that, Mom said she's gonna come home today. I'm so happy. She's always busy with her work" said Sue. "Well I hope she brings me back a souvenir" said Fei happily. The two finished their breakfast and went out for a walk since it was Sunday. They first stop at the bakery shop bought lots of cupcakes and cookies. They even bought ice cream to enjoy. "Are you sure it's right for us to be spending all of our money "asked Sue. "Come on Sue think, we have to make Mom think thay the money she left us is finish so we can get more. We're only spending enough money until theirs enough left that can be hidden "said Fei. "That's not right, our big sis wouldn't approve of this "said Sue. "Why are you behaving like you aren't enjoying your ice cream despite you just eating breakfast" said Fei. "Whatever I'm not spending anymore of my money" said Sue strongly. "Suit yourself but you're still going to have to follow me and help me with the load "laughed Fei. While the siblings were having their stroll there was a huge noise inside the shoes store. It was the sound of someone shouting angrily. The voice of the person sounded very familiar to Fei. The two entered the store only to see Zanark complaining about how they can't find the right size for the sneaker he wants.

"Seriously come on man. Search harder their has got to be a size twelve somewhere. It's a completely average foot size!" shouted Zanark. Fei patted Zanark on his shoulder and told him "If they don't have any size twelves for that shoe you want you know you could buy a different shoe right. Stop embarrassing yourself making noise. It's not there fault they don't have any size twelves. Blame yourself for not being a size ten like me". Fei then bought the shoes Zanark wanted in size 10 and bought nice purple sparkling heels for his sister. Zanark sighed and charged outside the store with an unpleasant look. "It must be tough, being a giant and all "said Fei. "Sometimes I forget how much of a jerk you can become. Go talk to him, he seems really upset" said Sue. "Okay sure let's meet up at the soccer field "said Fei. Sue agreed and the two splited up for now.

Fei caught up with Zanark and asked him why does he want that shoe so badly.* My father asked me to buy it for him. He ain't gonna be happy when he hears that their isn't any size twelves" said Zanark." Huh I thought that you were buying it for yourself" said Fei." Well yeah my dad and I are both size twelves so I was going to buy two of the same  pair" stated Zanark. "Oh I see, you're father is Michael isn't he. He can be a jerk at times" said Fei. "Yeah I know he's terrible" replied Zanark. Fei and Zanark then started to walk aimlessly into every shoe store they meet. Fei bought a couple of shoes from every store that he's visited. Zanark didn't bother to buy anything. "Forget it let's just go to the field "said Zanark. 'Really, I never saw you at the field before" stated Fei. "That's because I normally use my free time being with my mother" said Zanark." Oh I see, you're one of those kids who's super attached to there mother. That's surprising from you Zanark "giggled Fei." Not because we're classmates doesn't mean I won't play punch you in the face. My mother's feet are paralyze she can't walk. I keep her company when I have the chance "said Zanark seriously. Fei now realize that Zanark is not a guy you can joke too much around with so he decided to stop talking. The two walked to the field and surprisingly saw Bailong, Xavier and Cj sitting on the bench talking to each other. Fei and Zanark walked towards them and said "Wow Bailong this is the first time I've saw you here. What's the occasion" asked Fei. Bailong cleared his throat and said "I'm going around recruiting members to form a football team to enter the World's Junior Football Competition (WJFC)".
Fei was blown away by what Bailong just said Bailong was good at sport but he never took football seriously not once, this is a real surprise to Fei. "How many people do you have so far" asked Zanark curiously. "Let's see I have five. There's me, Xavier, Cj, Akame and Kinako" said Bailong. "Well sign me up, this sounds like it could be a blast. Imagine if we win the whole thing. That would make us the best in the whole world "said Zanark excited." Great that's six now Fei what about you "asked Bailong. "I didn't have any interest in this competition but since you're forming a team. Might as well have the soccer genius in it. I won't disappoint you" said Fei excited. "Alright now that's seven. Please let anyone you know who you think is good at soccer that there's a spot here for them on this team" said Bailong. "Let's ask some of the guys from the soccer club. They'll probably join" said Cj. "Yeah tomorrow it is" said Fei. "What made you decided to enter the competition" asked Zanark.
"It's because I want to win the WJFC and be in the history books" said Bailong. "That's all, you don't have a noble reason or anything like that "said Fei. "No, we only have one life you. We should do as many things as we can and do what you think is fun even if it is sleeping in the middle of your baths "said Bailong." Mad respect man, I'm up for this "said Fei.

Sue finally made it to the field with more bags than Fei was carrying. She had nothing but new clothes in her bags. "Oh so you're following me huh, sis would be so mad at you right now "teased Fei. "Shut up and let's go home "said Sue.

Later on that day Fei and Sue's Mom Shelly arrived at home. She gave both her children a long squishy hug and kisses them both on the forehead. "Mom guess what I'm doing cheerleading at school" said Sue. "Wow that's nice, do your best out there" smiled Shelly. Fei moved his mother's suitcase up to her room and went downstairs to the living room and turned on the television. Sue and Shelly went into the kitchen catching up on one another while cooking dinner. While Fei was watching TV fei's phone started ringing. The person who was calling Fei was Xavier. Fei answered his phone and said
"Hey what's up Xavier. Hey umm  can I stay at your place for the night" asked Xavier. "Huh why" Fei asked. "My dad is coming back home tomorrow with another woman. I don't want to be around them "said Xavier. "Hmm PJ is a good man. I'm sure he's not with anyone crazy. So don't feel nervous "stated Fei." No you don't get it, I'm not nervous or anything. I'm trying to prevent an incident" said Xavier. "What do you mean incident?" asked Fei.
"The last woman my dad came home with I got into a fight with her. The woman before that I threw her out of the house. The one before that was a nice person. She and I got along but I threw her out after she accidentally broke a plate that once belong to my mother. I need to get out of here. My dad's love life is being ruined because of me" said Xavier. Fei sighed and said "Sorry man, I would let you stay here for a while but my Mom just got back from Germany and I doubt she'll want you to be here". Fei's mom overheard Fei speaking on the phone and took his phone from him. Shelly asked "hello who is this". Xavier was surprised to hear a different voice talking instead of Fei's. "I'm Fei's friend from school who are you" asked Xavier." I'm Shelly Fei's mother I couldn't help but over hear that you're looking for a place to stay. I'd be happy to have you here" stated Shelly. "Really are you sure?" asked Xavier surprised. "Of course, you and your dad helped my son to avoid prison. I owe you two "said Shelly happily. "Just don't expect to get any special treatment okay" said Shelly. "Sure thing I'll be right there. Thank you" said Xavier. Shelly hung up Fei's phone and threw it Fei. Fei catches his phone and said Thanks Mom. "I'm glad you did that" said Fei. "Yeah whatever. I'm just happy that you turned friends with him" said Shelly. Sue walked in the living room and asked" Mom if she should cut the vegetables or let it be". Shelly and Sue walked into kitchen and continued their cooking.

Four hours later Fei was still on the couch watching TV not doing anything. Shelly walked in with a displeased look. "Fei do you have any homework ?"asked Shelly. "No I don't have any" replied Fei. "Don't you think you should read something once in awhile" stated Shelly." Read what, there's nothing interesting to read here" said Fei. Shelly plugged out the television and gave Fei three huge books at the size of large dictionaries. "You're going to finish these three books before the week finishes "said Shelly. "Really, Mom cut me some slack here. Reading is super boring" said Fei. "I don't care, go read something right now" ordered Shelly. Fei sighed and said "Fine I'll start reading".

While Fei was reading one of the books his mom gave him their was a knock on the front door. Sue hurriedly went to see who it was. "Hey Sue, glad to be here" said Xavier. "Good evening Xavier come in "said Sue. Xavier walked in and he asked' where is your mother. She's asleep right now. It's best not to wake her" said Sue. "I understand where's Fei "asked Xavier. "He's in his room reading something "said Sue. "Wow that's a shocker, Fei never reads" said Xavier. Sue guided Xavier to Fei's room and opened his door without knocking." Hey Fei what are you reading ?"asked Xavier. Fei started laughing and said "who said that I was reading. I'm here texting Kinako right now. I'm only pretending to read. I should've known" said Xavier. "Anyways, make sure you go press your uniform from tonight okay. We normally just head straight to breakfast after we wake up in the morning" said Fei. "Okay I understand" replied Xavier. "I've been thinking, about the WJFC there's a guy Bailong wants me to recruit. You know Viron your neighbour" said Xavier. "Oh him, he's got an unreal amount stamina compare to us "said Fei. "Anyways can you leave now, I wanna continue texting with my girlfriend" said Fei." Okay sure, I'll just be with Sue then" giggled Xavier. "I'm not worried, you value your life more than I do" giggled Fei.
