Your standing here with the most petrified and awkward look ever, with your body half over the bench.
You have no idea what your dad is going to say or do to.
When he saw that it was you and not some intruder, he relaxed a little. This time, he chose a loving and "understanding" father instead of this I'm-going-to-hit-you-over-the-head-with-this-frypan freak and I'm-shitting-myself-and-I-have-no-idea-what-to-do-so-I'm-just-going-to-keep-hitting-you-with-this-frypan look. Other times it's imma-ignore-you-cause-you-hurt-ma-feelings-but-I-love-you-soooo. You could see he looked so hurt from what you had done though.
He pulled out the dust pan from underneath the sink and started cleaning up the shattered glass.
You feel so guilty that your stomach is starting to turn.
"Yeah, alright. Thanks", you replied.
He emptied the glass into the bin and went back into the pantry to collect the rest of his ingredients. You stood there so awkwardly and you had no idea what to say or do!
"So I didn't know what you wanted for breakfast this morning so I just cooked up everything. I didn't want you to go to school on an empty stomach, since you have those cricket try outs today" my dad said hinting to you.
"Dad, you know I don't want to go out for cricket", you said reassuring him.
"But you used to love playing cricket and you were so good at it too. Why don't you just give it a try. It'll give you something to do and you might even make, some, friends..?" He said reassuring you, with that "reassuring look".
You felt too guilty about before, that you have to say yes. But there was no way that you was going to tell him about your drama audition this week, for the school play.
Another reason "Mum" ran off, was so she can pursue her acting career. So when you tried bringing it up once, he completely shut down the idea, before you could even say it was your dream and passion
"Sure dad. Just for u", you say trying to smile.
You couldn't just take off and leave now, so you decided to sit down at the kitchen table for a minute at least.
Just then, Daniel walks into the kitchen area.
"Morning all" Daniel said as he came over to give you a good morning kiss, on your head.
"Morning" You reply
"So are you going for the cricket team?" Daniel asking while he serves himself to the buffet, with that "sucked-in" face.
"Actually, we were just talking bout that, thank you very much"
you say back to him, with attitude of course."Oh reallyyyy????" He replied pretending to be surprised
"Yup, and I'm going to try out for it" you said why you bite into your toast covered in Vegemite and head out the door, making your escape while you can."Oh realllyyy??!!" Daniel said actually surprised.
"Don't forget Y/N, Jennifer Anniston has once said 'There are no regrets in life, just lessons'".

What seemed like the longest walk ever, you finally arrived at hell.
aka high school.
You know it's the typical thing in the cliche high school rom-com teenage movies where the main character calls high school "hell", but there is a difference between me and the cliche movies: they have friends.
You don't
Well, except for the Ibis.
My good mate Johnny. Or was is Craig?
Oh well. You just ignore him and go to registration.
Of course the bird tries to follow you, but you slam the door to the school before he catches you.
"Geez!" A voice behind you said which startled you.
"I've never seen anyone so eager to get to class"
