Wei Wuxian and Lan Wanji

3 year later

(Up there is Wei ying tree but pretend it's black and red.)

A small village was made where everyone is friends with anyone, everyone looks happy and they enjoy life.They live close to the shrine but not to close about midway on the mountain away from it. It became a shrine to the one that brought life here,

The God of the mountain shrine.

Everyone brings offerings, like coins, incense, food, and of course rice wine. They place them around the tree and the day he goes to sleep they wear red with little of black for women and black with little of red for men.

They dance and they thank him for what they have so they dance and sing a gift for him. They party as there is no tomorrow, they all laugh and party, children run with candies in their hands.

Wen ning watches over them and protects them too, they also thank him with songs and dances. It was beautiful. He couldn't wait for his friend to wake up to see all of this.

Of course Wei Ying can see it, he is not awake but in his dreams he lets his magic flow so that the flowers bloom off the trees and some off the ground. It was beautiful. The people would light up even more knowing that he is watching them so the party and celebration till the moon is at the highest point then they light off some fireworks to call it the end of the holiday.

All the adults drink one glass of rice wine. The children, instead of drinking, they play until the adults are done, then it's off to bed.They are all sad but wait till next year's party, but they couldn't wait for the day of the holiday to come again.

Lan wanji on the other hand has been down you can't tell by face wise but the atmosphere around him was down but he kept on being a lan and did work and was stern. He had a child but the he had was not his, but the mother died so it's him and the baby to teach in all honesty he did not like his wife because she was a gold digger once she had bear a child for him, what people think what happen, he was going to dovorice and keep the kid but she died giving birth so it was okay with him. He did not love her, only someone else, his heart ache thinking about him.

But once he heard about a small village in the yiling mountain he was amazed so he went out the next morning and checked it out and saw if there's any information he could get on Wei ying.

Once he got there he saw the village being a bright village. So he went up to one villager and asked,

"Excuse me, have you heard about a person named Wei ying."Lan wanji ask hoping to get information.

He waited till the villager looked at him and answered, the villager looked at him, and smiled, as he spoke up.

"Yes, that person passed on three years ago. They lie on top of the mountain. You see that really big tree that's red and black theirs also has a shrine too. Also don't pick the flowers there, they will turn into ash once plucked."Then the villager walked away back to what they were doing.

Lan zahn pauses and wonders what they mean and he's guessing what it means but doesn't want to believe it so he starts running up the mountain and hoping it's not what he thinks it is.

Wen ning was just watching and before lan wanji started running he started hopping on the trees and running to the mountain's heart Wei Ying's tree.

The out of breath lan zahn made it up to the mountain and looked at the tree before him. He falls on his knees, his hands touch the ground with the flowers and he cries his heart out quietly. Tears ran down his face, as he knew he should have been there for Wei ying.

Wen Ning was there watching the great Lan wanji break down in years.He decided that he will wait for him to finish crying and tell him what's happening.

Lan zahn cried for two hours and once he was done he was still at fault he was going to cry again. He straightened up himself and walked more up to the tree where he could put his hands on the tree.

Wen ning jumped down from a tree close by and walked up to him. He bowed to him and went to talk to him now but before he said anything Lan wanji started first.

"When were you going to tell me he was gone I was looking for him everywhere but the mountains I didn't think he was here."As he stared at the tree, he signed and kept on looking at the tree.

He signed and looked at lan wanji, as he watched him.

"I was told to watch over this mountain so I can't leave it. It was a promise, I'm sorry that I didn't tell you" Lan zahn looked back to him and looked at his eyes and asked

"How long has he been gone?"

Wen ning looked down wondering if he should tell him if he is sleeping or dead. But he decided on tell him the truth

"He's been gone three years yesterday but you should know he is not gone but sleeping"

Lan zahn looked puzzled wondering what that meant wanting to know more so waiting for him to continue. Wen ning walked up to the tree, lan zahn moving out the way just watching Wen ning. Wen ning gently tapped the tree when he did that, the tree sounded hollow, Wen ning spoke up.

"Lan wanji the tree is a resting place for him. He is sleeping in the tree and I don't know when he is coming out he didn't say. The day he went to sleep he looked so upset and heart broken, he mostly looked really tired so he decided to sleep. I am waiting for him to come out of his sleep. This mountain was made by him. The life he brought to the villagers down little ways down there they all praise him, they even know who he is....." Wen ning can still remember the day Wei ying went to sleep, like it was yesterday, which it was, but three years ago.
