Chapter 2

LEO

This was the best day yet.

The sun was dimly shining. Sky was blue. Festus was flying with Calypso behind him too! Leo couldn't believe himself. Did he actually make it back to Ogygia? How was that even possible? Almost a year ago, when Leo found out that he was a demigod, he wondered if that was possible too. Hey. This was a completely different world hidden to the eyes of mortals. Anything was possible.

'Leo. We've been flying for days now!' Calypso complained behind him and it made Leo chuckle.

'It's just been a day sunshine.'

Calypso laughed softly and wrapped her arms around Leo. She then murmured into his ear softly 'I would fly for any number of days with you Leo Valdez.'

'Who wouldn't? I'm irresistible.'

'Not anymore. You're all mine now.'

'Well, you've certainly claimed premium membership in Team Leo.'

'Sometimes Valdez, I have no idea what you're talking about.' Leo could feel the smile on Calypso's face.

'Wait till you see new technology! Phones, IPods, Nintendo, and all the other stuff you can sing to!'

'Seriously Leo. I haven't seen any mortal for the past three thousand years, much less their tech-o-gigi. I haven't gotten off your precious pet Festus for long and you don't have anything that I can sing to.'

'Calypso you're cute. Technology. Not Tech-o-whatever. You're probably right. But once you check out these gadgets, you will be pleasantly surprised.'

'If not, I'll kick your butt.'

'My gorgeous butt.'

'Ugh. That is gross Leo. I'm going to pretend I didn't hear that and rest my eyes. Tell me when we reach.' Calypso said and rested her head on Leo's back. Leo let out a small smile and prayed.

'Dad, if you hear me right now. Just give me good news that a whole generation hasn't passed since I died. I want to see Piper and Jason again. I just wanna go to camp and see them. Alive and not buried. I didn't defeat Gaea to let her take my friends!'

And then... Leo waited for a reply. Nothing happened. He sighed and stroked Festus.

'I guess it's just you, me and Calypso buddy. I pray with all my heart that they all still ali- Holy Hephaestus! Is that the Empire State Building?!'

Calypso was taken aback by the sudden yelp of Leo. 'Leo, are you alright?'

'Calypso! That's the Empire state building! We actually made it!'

'What? - Gods save me, is that Technogigi?!' She said as she pointed towards the skyscrapers.

'Product of technology. And fasten your seatbelt, because we're reaching Camp Half-Blood in a while...'
