Lilly's eyelids started to flutter open slowly and everything was still dark around her.

Remembering all that had happened the night before she soon realised that she was asleep in the back of her U-Haul on her mattress with her tiny amount of stuff piled around her.

"God I'm never sleeping on the floor again". Lilly groaned as she rubbed her eyelids to try and clear some of the sleep dust out of them.

"I can literally feel the floor right now." A soft whisper echoed around the empty van.

Lilly immediately sat up in bed and looked down at the still body that was gently stirring next to her. The blonde mess of hair, matched with the fair skin of their neck flashed her back to a night of amazing conversation, an incredible connection that lead back to drinks in the back of her U-Haul until they both fell asleep.

Lilly and Arizona has made those two drinks last for hours after chatting and exchanging stories about their lives and jobs. The conversation flowed so easily and there was never a second of doubt or awkward silence when it came to it. Both women seemed to just get each other and that lead to the first kiss.

Flashback:

"It's getting late you know and it wouldn't surprise me if you had work tomorrow or something?" Lilly sighed as she finished the last of her beer and placed the empty bottle atop the bar.

They had been talking for hours and Lilly had let Arizona know more about herself in that time than she had let anyone know in years. Arizona had taken an interest and not only told Lilly about her life but asked questions and wanted to know more about her.

"Yeah I've got a surgery tomorrow but not until the afternoon thank God." She smiled with her teeth as she polished off her glass of wine.

"Sounds more exciting than my day. I've got to pick up keys to my new apartment and then move all my crap up there." Lilly sighed thinking about all the heavy lifting she was going to have to do.

"So if you don't have an apartment where are you going to sleep tonight?"

"On my mattress in the back of a U-Haul parked in my spot for the apartment building." Lilly laughed after finally realising how stupid that sounds.

She didn't have much of a choice it was either that or the cab of the truck and she fancied her chances better in a locked back on her old mattress.

"Sounds rough" the blonde chuckled.

"Not ideal but I've been doing it for the past couple of nights so I'm kind of used to it I guess."

"Well at least let me walk you there. The streets of Seattle are no place for a gorgeous woman like yourself to be wondering alone at night."

Lilly felt her cheeks begin to heat up, instantly turning her head to the floor as to shield herself from the woman who stood so confidently in front of her.

She could see the movements of Arizona shrugging on her jacket quietly and followed suit silently muttering to herself;

"Left arm, right arm, pull up."

When her leather jacket was resting on her shoulders just the way she liked it, Lilly slowly lifted her head up again to make eye contact with the most amazing blue eyes she had ever seen.

"Shall we?"

These were the only words muttered as Lilly followed Arizona towards the doors of the now quiet bar. Not knowing what to say or how to act she followed silently behind trying desperately to think of something to say.
