Chapter 8 - Friends?

POV John

I hear the click the roof door opens and sees (Y/N). She doesn't seem to notice me because she's staring at the sky.

"You ... ?! "

Serious John, you didn't find anything else to say that to get her attention !!!!

She is scared, she hug herself while shaking. No matter how I try to reassure her, nothing works.

"Get away from me, I know you are lying !!! '' She scream

"Let's try to talk (Y/N) !! "

"N-No ... stay away, I know you will hurt me, everyone wants to hurt !! "

I kneel in front of her and put my hand on her shoulder. She snap and slap my hand away.

"Don't touch me !!! "

This will be more difficult than I though to get her to trust me. How am I supposed to turn her against Arlo if I can't even get close to her... I'm going to end up losing patience !! But if I snap, I won't stand a chance to make her become friendly to me.

"Look, (Y/N), I promise you, I don't try anything on you. I tried to help you yesterday, but Arlo was ahead of me "

"..."

"I trying to be friend with you"

"Friend ...?" 

"Y-Yeah" I fake smile

That's obviously a lie. The only person I can trust is Seraphina. Maybe if you weren't familiar with Arlo, I could have tried to be your real friend, but that changed the moment I knew you were someone close to him.

"..."

"(Y/N)? "

She gets up and leaves the rooftop without looking at me. But she looked pale.

What is this reversal of expression? I can't understand her at all. She's hiding something, that's for sure.

POV Holden

"Hey you" I say at the guy in front of me

"H-Holden ?! "

"You are Ivan, right? "

"Y-Yes ..."

"Then come with me, Arlo want to talk to you about yesterday"

Ivan's eyes suddenly widen. I think he knows he's in trouble. He steps backwards, he tries to escape.

"Don't even think about it" I say in a cold voice

He turns around and runs in the opposite direction to me.

Tch !!

He isn't fast enough for me.

I grab his tie from behind and drag him with me to bring him to Arlo.

I still don't understand why Arlo behaves like this, especially with a new student, especially a girl, but whatever. I will always listen to Arlo. He is my best friend after all. But I'm still curious about this new girl. Arlo and she know each other, no doubts. But he is so protective to her.

When I reach my destination, I open the door and see Arlo leaning against a table in the center of the classroom with his arms crossed.

I'm pulling the guy I've been restricting all the way to Arlo's feet.

The guy looks up and immediately notices Arlo's icy stare. He knows he's f*cked up. He's not likely to get away with it.

"So you are the one that dared to hurt (Y/N)"

"P-Please !!! I didn't know that her and you was connected !!! Otherwise I would never have dared !!! '' Plead Ivan

He begs on his knees on the ground while bowing to the ground.

"Then you should have think wisely"

"I beg you Arlo !!! I really didn't know she was a friend of you !!! I will not do it again!!! "

"A friend you say? '' His hair hide his eye, but I can tell that Arlo is insulted.

"Isn't she ?! Otherwise you wouldn't do that to me !! "

"Listening closely. She is way more than a friend to me "with that Arlo activates his ability and crouch down even more the guy.

Ivan hits the barrier, but only receives reflective damage. After 1 minute he finally stops exhausted and injured.

"Now what you're going to do is address yourself better to her. You will tell others that if I see only a scratch on it they will have to deal with me. If you start again, your punishment should be even worse '' he order him

On his words, he deactivates his ability and nod at me. I follow behind him without one of us looking back.

So the new girl is more than a friend to Arlo. I would never though that Arlo did have a girlfriend, maybe she is her crush. But I don't think that's it... Maybe they are related?

I trust Arlo, if he wants to tell me about it when he is ready.

Finally a update!!!! Be so long, I missed this story!! 

Now I can continue to write freely. 

I just gonna say that I will put a information post of the characters (History, age, relationship, personnality, appearence, etc)
