Chapter 3 - Her and the King?

To everyone's surprise, this girl knows Arlo, and he seems to know her too.

Seeing Arlo, the new girl gets up and runs into Arlo's arms. She embraces him and Arlo return it.

"I was going to come looking for you, but I see all this commotion instead. What happened to you? "

"A-Arlo ... Don't leave me alone anymore, I beg you" she sob

"You know I can't always be here, but I'm doing my best to be with you as often as possible"

Surprisingly, I am surprised by the affection, tenderness and sweetness of Arlo's words. He seems to be really worried about her. He really seems to really care for her.

Moreover, he seems to know each other. I can feel the bonds that bind them.

"What is it? '' ask Arlo

His eyes are focused on her neck. Indeed, it left marks. Being strangled in this way did leaves traces on her skin.

"..." She looked at him with teary eyes

"Who did this to you? "

Arlo's hatred can be felt, but he keeps a calm voice for the girl in his arms.

"(Y/N) ... Show me who's responsible? "

She seems to hesitate, but ends up pointing at the guy who caused her pain.

No need to say how much this guy is dead.

"You ..." Arlo glares at him and activates his ability. A barrier appears and begins to shrink on him, forcing him to kneel on the ground.

Arlo quietly release the girl named (Y/N) to head for the guy.

"N-No !! I'm truly sorry !!! I didn't know !! Please spare me !! "

"You should have thought about this before raising your hand on her"

Suddenly (Y/N) takes Arlo's arm and hug it to her. She shook her head while looking at Arlo with more relaxed eyes.

This seems to have power as Arlo disactive his ability and embrace (Y/N) in his arms.

"Arlo ... Don't do this please ... I'm okay now ..."

"I know that not true, but I will try to regain my composure ... For you"

" I was afraid... "

"I know, I'm here now, nothing will happen to you now"

"I trust you, you are only one that I can trust ..."

"There, give me your smile again if you believe my words"

She gives a cheerful smile and Arlo smiles. Everyone blushes at the sight, even me ... She has such a cute smile ...

"Let's get out of here. You have way too much emotion today. Let's go back to our apartment ''

"Yes ..."

Arlo wraps his arm around the shoulder of the new girl and the two head for the exit. Leaving all people present in shock.

Seriously ... Her and Arlo?

'Gosh, I've never seen Arlo act that way ...'

'He was more scary than the normal'

'They are dating? '

'So much questions, one thing is sure this girl is cherish by Arlo'

'Her and the king ... She must be ... special at some point I guess'

I ask myself exactly the same thing ... What's going on between the two?

I know a cold Arlo, manipulative, cunning and selfish. Not an Arlo who actually care about someone to the point of losing his cool and protect the latter.

I don't understand anything ... Who is this girl?

Arlo leads me to the exit and I still thinking about how I could die today. I tremble at this thought and feel that Arlo is tightening his embrace at the shoulders.

"Arlo ..."

"There (Y/N) ... It's over, you don't have to think about that anymore. Try to think of something else ''

"I can't ... Every time I close my eyes, I see him ... His hand holding my neck tightly, preventing me from breathing ... I ... I ..."

"(Y/N), you need to calm down. Your breathing becomes irregular, you are pale and you shake terribly "

"I'm sorry Arlo ... But today you did scare me a little"

"Because of my behavior on this guy? "

"Y-Yes ..."

Arlo stops, turns to me and caresses my cheek with his fingers. I love this feeling ... Her presence alone can make my fears run away.

"I'm really sorry (Y/N), it shouldn't have happened to you, especially not on your first day. It must be believed that the message didn't go well on your condition. I'll fix that "

"I heard earlier... They call you the King... You are the King here, is that true? "

"Arlo ... you really didn't have to do that today, I know hierarchy and order are very important to you, and I'm a nuisance right now ..."

I know that Arlo will always be by my side, I accept everything from him, his good and his bad. I know that Arlo will not let the people who hurt me like that. He will surely try to make them pay. I don't care. As long as he's here, I can move on.

I can't help but think this raven haired guy that was trying to befriend me ...

Ok so update is going to be least frequent, but I will do my best. School come back and I can't let my grades drop. It will be the same for my other fantifiction 'A glance' but not the 'Unordinary One-shot'. I will continue to take request, but the delay may be longer (1 week maybe).

Just gonna say that (Y/N) and Arlo isn't in couple, they are childhood best friend. They have a relationship brother/sister, but really a close one. I wanted to do a bibliography or put this information later, but I'm bad at this. I don't want people believe that the story is a Arlo x Reader.  

Maybe when I going to improve, I will do a stat for the characters.
