It has been three days since the incident of my demon encounters. I didn't get any information from Danielle, I rarely see Mary in the institution, it seems like she's been hidden somewhere isolated. I haven't heard of any news from Judiel, my plan to visit him at the hospital the other day was halted because of the incident Danielle had caused.
I am carefully walking between the archives related to fallen angels in the library, looking for some interesting books related to the seven fallen angels Rafael had mentioned during our encounter. My curiosity was triggered by that incident, and I have gone some researches about them, so far I haven't had found something interesting, the internet has provided no major details regarding demonology, the sites about them were terminated a long time ago because they were used by the movements that support the demons, especially the occults of witches who are responsible for reviving the most of them.
Still searching, I moved to the other shelf and look harder. There's still no interesting book there. I continued to walk around to find some more but all I see are fictional stories about them. Oh, isn't it a foolish move of me to be looking around for pieces of information inside the library of an institution which is anti-demon? If websites that give information on them were terminated, how come an institution who raises orphaned children to become good would keep informational books about its enemy? I gave up and proceeded to the nearest table. I sit on the chair and look around, letting my imaginations wander. Then, a glimmer of hope hit me, right in front of me, on the next table, a book with a title: The Tales of the Ancient Beasts and the Demon of Envy Leviathan is raised in the air by those mysterious hands. I stealthily stand up from where I was seated and sashayed to the next table.
"Hi," I speak softly, sitting on the chair opposite to the person who held the book. I have summoned all my confidence to utter that "hi" and I hope this person in front of me would not treat me indifferently, oh please. She lowers the book and gazes at me, adjusting her spectacles. "Tobit?" she asks me. "Yeah," I reply with a forceful meek smile. She scans my face, so I move my bangs to the right side of my face and make a full wide grin knowing she was Kay, the stunningly beautiful Kay.
"So, what brought you here?"
"I'm doing some researches and I. . ." I motions at the book in her hands. "I need that for it." She studied my face for a second and then she said; "Well, I also need this for my research."
"What is your research all about?" she asks me. "Well, it's private."
"Don't tell me you're researching about the demons," she says. "Kind of." I slowly trails my hand to cover the scar on my neck which is getting hot.
"Then, if you're researching about the demons then this book is no use."
"How can you say it's not helpful?"
"All the books about demons, especially about the seven deadly fallen angels are forbidden here. This book and those books there are nothing but a mere work of imagination."
"Then, how did they help you in your research if they are no use? And, didn't you know that in order for writers to write with their imaginations they base it on the real thing?"
She adjusted her spectacles again. "You're quite sharp. But not as intelligent as I initially thought. I was just completely fooling around with you. But you seem to be going too far. Did I say I was researching about the demons?"
"You didn't, but why did you have that book then?"
"I'm not researching about the demons, I am researching about the beasts."
"So, what gave you the thought that my research is about the demons, especially the seven deadly fallen angels?"
She looks at be bluntly, her eyes are in the brim of seriousness. "This is not to offend you. But, what do you think is the very first impression people will think of you?"
I didn't expect that. Yeah, of course everyone deemed me as a demon. I smile at her and motion to leave.
"Wait."
"Oh, yeah my manners. Well, thank you for the time Miss," I say.
"It's not what I am trying to say. I mean I am willing to help you about your research."
"And what kind of help are you going to offer me?"
"If you're that eager to know about the demons then why don't you go to the institution of the demi-angels?"
"Are you offering me to get beaten there?"
"No. But there are a lot of information you can get there. Information you don't need to look in a book, information that are forbidden for us to know. All the information you need to know are discussed there through their lessons."
"Judiel," I whisper in the air.
"So Tobit, if you seek for the truth then be ready to face its counterparts. If you seek for freedom, go look for the truth and when you find the truth be ready to face the pain."
"Thank you."
"You're most welcome," she smiles at me and continues reading the book.
I left the library and went to my room, luckily, the pain in the ass wasn't there so I can freely use the weaponry room. I get two of my customized dagger, wear my belt with sheaths and put my daggers there. Lastly, I wore my white jacket and put on my Nike shoes. It's gonna be a tiring day today.
I put on my hood and went to the hospital where Judiel was confined. In order for my weapons to not get detected by the guards I put them under concealment mode.
Out of all the places I hate about, hospitals are first in the list. I walk the hallways that were busily strolled with patients in wheelchairs and nurses. I didn't go to the counter, one of the stupidest thing I ever did and I went all the way to Judiel's room in the third floor only to find out that he was already discharged.
It really is a tiring day. I wish I could use my wings to fly to the demi-angel's institution easily. But I've never tried sprouting my wings, simply because I still don't know how to summon them or even how to use them in flying. So I exhaust my feet in walking five kilometres from the church to the hospital and seven kilometres from the hospital to the institution of the demi-angels.
Finally, after four long days, we are going to see each others again my friend, if you still consider me as a friend.
