My name is Sakura and I'm 8 years old. I live in Kyoto, the most ancient city in all of Japan. Our emperor is due to sign a treaty with Germany against the Soviet Union. I am not sure if we should sign it because the Soviets might invade us with their mental army. We are slowly building our army, but our naval fleet might be the one which could leap us over. The naval fleet destroyed Russia's whole fleet in 1904, for control over Manchuria, which we currently occupy. My father went to Manchuria and he has just sent us back some letters. He will return a few days before Christmas Eve. We have just signed the treaty. The government is still in negotiations over a possible pacific empire. But we are threatened by America, who are building a fleet ever since their late entry into the Great War. I have just come home from school and Aunty Misaka is making sushi while my mamma goes out to shop. Grandma will come over soon for dinner. At dinner time, Grandma has explained that luckily, the Soviet Union did not make a big reaction to us going against them. I hope Emperor Hirohito makes a strong military to protect us from Soviets, Americans or any other race that dares to invade Imperial Japan.
