Lorenzo hoped to whatever god or demon that would listen who may or may not be out there that he would not have to deal with any problems or run ins with wolf shifters while he was in Forks, Lorenzo planned to hear Carlisle out since he owed him, maybe help with whatever problem the coven was having; and then leave peacefully without drawing the attention of any unnecessary things that probably want him dead.

Of course, Lorenzo was never one to back down from a thrilling fight. Life wasn't fun without danger. especially since being immortal greatly decreased the amount of dangerous things that could actually entertain him. so fighting was pretty much one of the only options left.

Carlisle had told Lorenzo to come by the house and to keep an open mind when he explained what he wanted and who was involved. that alone made Lorenzo reluctant to come since he was almost positive he wouldn't like whatever he was about to get himself into. but hopefully, it would provide some necessary entertainment; which he had been lacking for much to long now.

As Lorenzo ran through the forest towards the river, the smell of wolf got a thousand times stronger and hit Lorenzo like a truck. He whipped his head to the side so fast that it would have snapped his neck if he had been human, just in time to see a large grey wolf push him through the air and into a large tree. With a growl, the wolf circled as Lorenzo groaned and slowly moved into a defensive crouch, hissing as the cracks that were left in his back healed instantly. Lorenzo was grateful that his ability helped him heal faster than most of his kind. Lorenzo then began to think of the best course of action as the grey wolf growled threateningly. Fight or Flight? Trying to escape would have a higher chance of survival but fighting would be so much more fun. Lorenzo was glad to know after picking up the scents in the air that there was only the one wolf to deal with, but wolves usually moved in packs so there was bound to be more coming if this encounter went on too long. If it was just the one wolf, then Lorenzo was fairly certain that he could get away or kill it if necessary with equal success.

Lorenzo straightened slightly from his crouching position, ready to run when the wolf suddenly lunged forward with a vicious sneer. Lorenzo quickly jumped over it's large body which could've easily pinned him if he moved a second too late, a growl climbing from his own throat at the threat. Lorenzo started running towards the river when two more smells hit his nose. one being a second wolf and the other being the familiar scent of one of the cullens. Lorenzo pushed himself faster and could distinctly make out the scent of Emmet Cullen. Slight irritation however at his situation made him less than thrilled with the coven.

And then suddenly, another wolf bounded through the forest and grabbed hold of Lorenzo's leg in it's jaws before he had time to kick the mutt away, slamming Lorenzo into the ground. This wolf was fairly smaller and a light sandy brown color. it was more of an oversized wolf pup than an actual wolf. It's teeth, however, was just as sharp and capable of tearing Lorenzo apart if he got careless.

Lorenzo hissed out in pain as his leg began to crack and was being torn. The grey wolf then lunged for Lorenzo, who grabbed hold of the larger wolf's throat with both hands before it could latch onto Lorenzo's neck. The grey wolf let out a small, barely audible whimper at the incredibly tight grip but kept snapping and trying to get out of Lorenzo's grip regardless. Lorenzo also heard a small whimper come from the small brown one which was only a bit louder than the grey wolf, the brown wolf still having a tight grip on Lorenzo's leg. Lorenzo wasn't sure why the brown one was whimpering when it clearly had the advantage over him, but he ignored it regardless and decided it was because of the position it's buddy was in.

Lorenzo then tossed the larger wolf into the smaller one which was latched to Lorenzo's leg, sending them both flying and giving Lorenzo time to get up and try to run. Key word was TRY. But Lorenzo soon fell to one knee as he inspected the damaged leg which was barely still attached to Lorenzo's body. it would take a minute to heal completely.

"Fuck." Lorenzo cursed through the pain with anger as his leg slowly healed from nearly being torn clean off."

"Enzo!" Lorenzo heard Emmet call in slight panic and concern as he stopped at the river.

Lorenzo then understood by that one action that the river must be the border between territories. Lorenzo narrowed his crimson eyes at the two wolves who slowly got up, but they paused when they saw Emmet. Lorenzo saw his chance and took the opportunity  to quickly climb the closest tree the best he could to get away from the wolves and heal his leg. He couldn't run or fight properly with a damaged leg, and he didn't want to stay too long in the tree when there were wolves circling, so it would be easier for Lorenzo to speed up the healing.

"Emmet, Carlisle better have a damn good reason for calling me out here when for some reason you live next to wolves; or I'm going to kill you so painfully when my leg heals. He knows how i feel about fucking wolves." Lorenzo called over towards Emmet with a glare, his spanish accent thick with anger.

"alright, we kind of deserve that. Carlisle was supposed to explain it before you encountered the pack." said Emmet, rubbing the back of his neck anxiously.

Lorenzo saw the large grey wolf get closer to the river and stare down Emmet while growling, but it made no move to cross or attack him. So Lorenzo assumed his theory about the border being true. But then, Lorenzo saw the small brown wolf approach his tree, making lorenzo growl in warning. The small wolf paused slightly, and lowered its head, before approaching once more, slower. Lorenzo's growl was louder this time, and a lot more threatening which made the small wolf freeze completely and let out a barely audible whimper. If lorenzo wasn't a vampire, he'd have never heard the sound. Lorenzo saw the small wolf look towards the grey wolf questioningly, as if they were communicating telepathically, before the small wolf layed down where it was.

'keeping guard then, to make sure i don't leave until their pack comes.'  Lorenzo thought to himself silently, causing him to frown slightly.

Lorenzo let an almost silently annoyed breath leave his lips even though he didn't need to breathe. He then stood up slowly to not draw the wolves attention and braced himself on one leg against the tree he was in. after making sure none of the wolves had noticed him or were going to, Lorenzo placed his left hand on his damaged leg. His left hand faintly glowed white and enveloped his damaged leg, instantly making all the cracks fix themselves and returning his leg to its original state before the wolf got to it. he then removed his hand, and put his full weight back onto both legs.

Lorenzo than leaped from his spot in the tree to the next tree and kept leaping until he was on the other side of the river, in the tree directly beside emmet.

"Emmet! let's get moving. i want to hurry away from this disgusting smell and give Carlisle an earful. show me where the house is." Lorenzo said, immediately getting the attention of Emmet and both wolves.

The grey wolf stiffened and started growling even more, and the small one trotted over to the river with a slightly dazed look on it's wolfish face. Lorenzo's red eyes made contact with the small wolf's brown ones, and the weirdest thing Lorenzo ever saw a wolf do occured in that moment. The wolf immediately laid on the ground and lowered it's head, but never broke eye contact with this awed look on it's face. It was like if he was seeing the sun for the first time. it was the most submissive position Lorenzo had ever seen a wolf take in the presence of a vampire, their natural enemies that raise every fighting instinct to the surface.

Lorenzo instantly tensed at the intense gaze the small wolf was giving him. And then he heard a loud howl cut through the forest that had such anger behind it, that Lorenzo couldn't help look towards the source of the sound deep in the trees on the opposite side of the river. Lorenzo instantly broke eye contact with the small wolf and saw the grey wolf's head snap towards the small wolf with a look of disbelief of his face. The small wolf let out a whimper and stood up while looking in the direction of the howling. then the small wolf kept looking back and forth between Lorenzo and the direction of the sound while whimpering, a conflicted look on his face.

Lorenzo jumped down from his tree and landed beside Emmet.

"Let's go. I don't want to be here if more of them show up."

Lorenzo didn't wait for a response, he instantly started running in the direction of the cullen house and disappeared from the view of the river. He heard Emmet following, and soon let him take the lead to show him where the house was.

the encounter would not be leaving his memory any time soon.
