"thanks Aidan." I stopped walking once we got to the patio of my house. I turned to look at him and he stared at me back. he smiled. "of course, y/n." he reached to give me a hug. I loved his hugs. he would always be so gentle, and caring.
I let go. I smiled back. "ill text you?" I questioned as I held onto my phone, slightly waving it. he nodded his head. "yeah." he replied, his smile still plastered on his lips. I then took a step back and waved my hand. he waved back.
then I walked towards the door, and opened it. I looked behind myself, aidan was still there. he motioned me to go inside, so I went inside.
"y/n!" there was a loud booming voice coming from upstairs. I knew who it was. it was mackenzie, and, rory. they came home from their trip to Washington. my eyes were wide. I didn't knew they came today. maybe it was a surprise.
rory came downstairs first. her smile brighter than the sun. she ran towards me, with her arms open wide. "you came today?! I didn't know..." my grin started to get bigger. she nodded her head.
"yeah. " mackenzie had a cute small white dog in her arms. she started going downstairs carefully. Rory then let go of me, and started to pet Tulip the dog.
mackenzie placed tulip on the floor, and walked towards me. "are we ready to party?!" she put her hands up in the air and started to wave them. i slightly furrowed my eyebrows as Rory and I laughed silently.
"there is a party?" Rory put her hands on her hips as mackenzie walked towards me and wrapped her arms around my stomach.
mackenzie nodded her head with pure excitement. oh how much I missed these two. it's like I haven't seen them in years. only it has been a couple of weeks. "yeah at my place." she pointed at herself with her mouth opened wide.
I shook my head. "you know how much im not a party person, Kenzie." I bent down to pet lizzie who was trying to catch my attention. she was the cutest dog. and the fluffiest.
"well your mom already said that you can go." mackenzie let go of my stomach, and continue to smile. My eyes slightly flinched. oh my god. not today. I wanted to text Aidan all day and watch movies.
I shook my head. "when is it?" I walked over to the kitchen, leaving them behind for a few seconds and then they started to follow me, even Lizzie.
Rory looked at the strawberries on the counter and picked a couple small ones. mackenzie leaned on the other counter with a casual smirk on her face. "tonight." she glanced at me with her smirk. I shook my head a couple of times.
"no I have plans." I slightly felt my face burning up just thinking of Aidan. Aidan and I. together. holding hands and watching movies and calling each other.
Rory ate a strawberry and sat down at the dining table. she had a smirk on her face too as I saw her. "what plans?" she asked, eating another strawberry. I took a deep breath and tried to hide my face with my sweater.
"why do you have to be so nosy..?" I banged my hand on the dining table. mackenzie also sat down with a smirk. I stared at both of them, they were both smirking at me.
I crossed my arms. "plans with Aidan." i could feel my face getting hot again. I kinda want to explode and be invisible. Rory and mackenzie both looked at each other. their facial expressions were hard to read. Then they stared at me.
"with Aidan Gallagher?" Rory folded her hands together and are another strawberry, that was the last one she had in her hand so she went to grab more.
I was confused on why they were acting serious. like serious tension in the room. mackenzie furrowed her eyebrows slightly, and looked down at the table. "yeah.." I mumbled, I wanted to bury myself in a bottomless pit.
"why Aidan?" mackenzie then looked at me. her eyes were watery and starting to get puffy. Rory has the white bowl of strawberries in her hand, she placed her other hand on my shoulder. I was confused.
"did I do something wrong?" I glanced at Rory and then she just sighed, not saying anything. Lizzie went up to my legs, trying to reach my arms. so I picked her up gently.
a tear came from mackenzie's eye. I don't know how I made her cry. or why. I wonder if I said something that bothered her. but I couldn't figure out what. what exactly about Aidan was bothering her. it was getting hard to breathe for a second. oh what did I do wrong..
"I like Aidan." mackenzie spoke up. she looked directly at me. she had a frown on her face. I hardly saw her like this. Rory kept her hand on my shoulder. "don't tell me you guys are together." mackenzie then kept her head down. tears fell onto the table.
Aidan and I were together though. "he uh. said that he liked me." I said silently hoping mackenzie wouldn't hear but she did. she got up from the chair she was sitting in. her red eyes staring at me for a moment. she stepped back. "come on Rory. lets go set up for the party." mackenzie wiped her tears from her face.
Rory didn't move. she stayed right there with me. she then took her hand off my shoulder and shook her head. she didn't say anything for a moment so there was an awkward pause. "I'm staying here with y/n."
mackenzie then nodded her head and glared at both of us. "oh so I see." she kept nodding her head. tears still rolling down her cheeks. mackenzie turned around and opened the door, for a moment she stared outside before heading out. she slammed the door.
then my eyes felt watery. Rory placed the strawberries on the table.
